Where do Freyas live?

If you know a lot of Freyas, where do you live and is there a glut of them? I am 99% certain that I will choose this name but only on mumsnet have I heard it being described as too popular/overused, so maybe it will be less ubiquitous where I am in the West of Scotland? I know it is in the top 20 names in Scotland but it's hard to work out what that means... Nearly one child per class with be called Freya?? not good at stats btw

I would just forget popularity and pick the name you love (speaking of a mother of three and all my children's names are in the top 100). They live all over the place I'd imagine but does it really matter? unless you make up a name there will always be others. Agree with you though, popularity of names can be regional. We have a Jack and at one time in his school he was the only one (South Cambridgeshire). That year there were 3 Zach's! The next year there was one more Jack joining reception while in every class there are at least 2 Oliver's/William's/Harry's! Freya is lovely - I would pick it regardless.

We are in south east Scotland and it's very popular here. I don't know many babies these days but know several Freya's aged 2-5

North East, 12 year old dd, no Freyas in her year at primary and I've never heard her mention any since starting secondary. I meet lots of new mums and babies through work and no Freyas that I recall, no friends or colleagues have a Freya either. Guess its not very popular in my little corner.

If DS1 had been a girl he would have been Freya (almost 10 years ago and SW). I know of at least 1 in his class.

In Scotland get you can get a detailed break down of baby names by council area, this is a snapshot of Highland council which is where I assume you are.
