Hello all- so I am a childminder, but have looked after children up and down the country for the last 8 years, so you can imagine the amount of names I have heard, but can I decide on one for my own DC1- no!!

I like (but not love);
Teddy
Henry
Harry
William
Oscar
Arthur
Noah

My OH likes;
Wilfred
Albert
Patrick
Alfred
Henry (a little)
Michael (my late fathers name- but I'm not a fan)

We can't seem to agree at all!
My job doesn't seem to help matters as I have been put off a lot of names!
My OH has a really popular name, and he hates it, whereas I have a fairly uncommon name so I don't quite understand the desire to have something so different!

Has anyone got any genius ideas?
Thanks in advance x

I think kit Henry is the favourite- but we would possibly put Kristian on birth certificate! But I do also love Arthur it's a tough one- we have a few now so will wait and see what the baby looks like!!
Thank you for beautiful suggestions! X

Arthur is great or how about Quentin or Reuben?

Kit reminds me of sports kit - not really a name to my ears. How about Christian or Christopher for a proper name?

Love Nate, Wilbur, Percy!!

So far Kit Henry F_ is the favourite, closely followed by Arthur Michael F

But this may well change!
It's is a girl we like April Rose (not after teenage mutant ninja turtles) and Lottie Marie.

Thank you for suggestions everyone!

Hahaha No- I am glad you think so!! We don't know if it's boy or girl- boys names have definitely been harder to agree on!

I don't really like. Edgar or Piers- but thanks for suggestion!

Just been told by OH if it is a girl, he is going to tell everyone we named her April after the girl from teenage mutant ninja turtles?! My god men can be so infuriating hahaha

Kitson to me is flowery PVC handbags? I know it's spelled differently but that's what I hear-in my accent anyway? I've only ever taught a girl "Kit"-from Katherine. But have taught two "Topher"s from Christopher!!

Really, really dislike Kitson, sorry.

Like Kit as nn for Christopher.
Like Wilfred and Michael.
Love Teddy as nn for Edward. Arthur, Oscar, Noah - all nice.

I know two aprils. One has Ross and Scott as brothers. The other has kurtis. (At a push you might get kit from that?)

I was going to reel off some brothers once I knew your girls name but I don't know any Aprils!

Go with Kit, it's great.

Hey bowlersam- almost certainly April Rose with Lottie coming in at a close second. I did also love Florence, Hattie, and Jean but there were too many family connections, it wa getting a bit political so we begrudgingly dropped those!

Kitson is growing on me as I say it over and over!!

I know a Kitson. I don't know how common a name that is. Kit can also be short for Kester
