I have just fallen in love with it, but DH isn't sure.

What do you all think? Too dated?

Gigi sounds too soft to me, Gina has a stronger sound. You can be Gina the judge, lawyer, businesswoman. Gigi doesn't sound like she would be a leader. But then I knew a women called Gigi Getz and on her cards it said "Gigi Getz things done!"

Prefer Gigi as a nn for Georgina. Same idea but a bit 'cooler' than Gina.

Nice short for Georgina I think. But I know one my age and it was short for Regina and she was called Vagina !

I think you should use the name Georgina often enough in public that people know it's short for that. IYKWIM

Oh do you know i love this name not something you hear much of either. Ive always hated my name and once asked my mum what other choices she had and Gina was the next 1 on the list since then always liked it, this was when i was a child so i went through a phase of telling everyone i was changing my name to Gina lmao

Love Georgina. Strong and not frilly at all IMO.

Love both Georgina and Gina. Perfect for a little girl but the name will grow her. I think Gina sounds really classy and strong.

We have a Georgina and thought we'd be nning her Georgie but she called herself Gina as soon as she could talk because she couldn't pronounce the first part of her name. She would call herself "(Sharp-intake-of-breath)-Gina".

We use both Georgina and Gina. She is our most outgoing, energetic child by far so Gina has a high-energy dynamism for us now! Also we have lived in different countries and it turned out that Gina was easily pronounced in all languages.

Her best friend is currently Cina (pronounced Sina which is Italian) Grin

I also want to sing 'ooh ah, just a little bit'. But I quite like it, it's a feisty name.

Great choice! Georgina is a lovely underused name.

Not even the negative comments are putting me off!

We are 99% sure it will be Georgina, nn Gina, if it's a girl. Thanks all Grin

I used to love Gina shoes. Very 80s retro. Name and shoes that is!
