Have been inspired by this thread.

So which names have you only ever heard once?

Can I start of by saying I only know one of the following, all children:

Wolfgang but I do know a wolf too.
Paris
Waldon
Sapphire
Emerald
Troy
Leonie

I forgot my favourite....Precious. She was a PA and it was so funny to hear her boss ask for things or thank her. Sort of like 'Darling' in Blackadder goes forth.

Les Beau. (Friends neice and I've only seen it written down so I'm hoping they pronounce it 'Lay Beau' but even so... Hmm )

Ace and Saracen, I think they may have been cousins.

Ha Koala I taught a Kiki. It began as a nickname for Ciara, but she was even registered at school as Kiki. It was the only thing she was known as!

Castlelough, this Kiki was on the birth certificate as Kiki! Quite unusual in Australia. She has two sisters and a brother with equally out-there names, which I won't put here as they're too identifying.

I know a Seren and a Keron. I've only ever met one of each.

Today at work I heard Ambroise for a boy, and his sister Gwynevere. That was different, for sure.

I always felt sorry for her; her older sisters had really run-of-the-mill names, then she got lumbered with that! She made everyone at school call her CT (like AJ) because she hated it.

'She-Neil'??!

That's horrendous. I presume it's supposed to be pronounced like 'Chenille', but written like that, it looks as if the stress is on the first syllable: SHEE-neil. Like He-man.
