Just found out we are having a BOY {eekkk} really thought it would be another girl.

DH and I can't agree at all on boys names. DH likes James, I like Toby. We need a compromise, can you help?

Hamish is off the list and Johnny possibly John but not hugely keen on that more to the top of the list.

Thank you all for the suggestions, annoyingly quite a number of names suggested have already been used eg: Jensen and Gabriel on reflection I don't think we'd pick these names.

I used to work with a Jago, nice guy just a bit odd. Name association has ruined that for me.

Jude is an utter no go. It really isn't our style of name. I could get DH to agree to Juno but not Jude. I do like Xavier.

What about Jago, the Cornish version of James?

Yes it is a shame. I really like my ex's name but that's obviously a no-go. We're not in touch but are friends on fb so would be weird, let alone hubby's reaction!

Don't think Lucas is that popular.
Tristan- I knew one who was kind but wet...think it could grow on me though

Some more names:-

Jenson
Bertrand
Rex
Jared
Xavier
Atticus
Emmett
Ezra
Gabriel
Rafe

It's a shame when that happens isn't it Chicken. There's loads of names I had to rule out due to dodgy associations.

For example I love the names Christian and Anastasia but E L James has somewhat ruined them for me Hmm

I don't like Tristan but that's only because I know a horrible Tristan.

What do you guys think of Honor and Tristan?

Night you ave hit the nail on the head. I see Honor as being quite a strong punchy name, known but not well know. Still gutted about Juno, hugely so. So only one thing for it....DC3

I do quite like Lucas (is it popular?)

Campbell is good, being Scottish I do like it.

Names like Finn etc don't work with our surname. Max works well, However it's the only person DH every punch was called Max Grin he was 10 Milo is a but too hippy for us, however I do like it.

The thing is Honor, Lara and Juno are all quite unusual edgy names. James is nice..... but in my mind just nice.

Thinking of other children I've come across

Lars
Cameron
Luca
Lucas

floss I agree. However it's a joint decision and I'm not budging Mature

Can't use Frederick as much as I love Freddie. Is already been used within the family.

Robert - poss mn

Hamish is on the list. Would it be odd having Honor and Hamish?

Lawrence I have suggested but DH isn't convinced.
Hunter - good I wish I was this brave, don't think we could pull it off?

Brodie - warming to it. However I do know 1 and when he was name my father laughted for days!

Leo - Flat no from DH.

Orlando - same as Hunter

Thank you all

You both have to love the name. I let my dh chose the name for my ds and it still doesn't work for me, although I adore my little boy. My girls have traditional Victorian names from my side and my ds has what can only be described as a really Middle Eastern name from my dh. My dcs names don't match. Apart from our stupid surname:)

Brodie
Orlando
Alexander (here is commonly abbreviated to Sasha)
Leo
