Baby names

A nice girls name not ending in "a" or "ie"/"y" sound...

Can anyone suggest any?

I would like a name that is not cutsie if having a girl. I find the "ie"/"y" ending names too twee. dd1 does have a name ending in "a" but I would like something different.

The only names I can think of are either too old fashioned (Margaret/Ruth/Rachel etc), names of a friend's child so taken (Imogen/Abigail), my daughter's middle name (Katherine) or no good because I can't name my child after the Queen (Elizabeth)!

I think a first name not ending in a would work best (Ruby being a nice example).

Thanks everyone - my favourite of all the suggestions is definitely Vivienne, and DH likes it too.

Will probably have a boy now...

We also considered River and Autumn as tight contenders

Scarlett (not biased at all) or Charlotte are great choices.

Bear in mind she may inherit a nn ending in y or ie though...
