Would really like a scifi/fantasy inspired boys name but that also has meaning ideally.

Any suggestions?!

Labour is imminent so any ideas gratefully recieved...

Thanks again for more fab suggestions!!

A few of you have said Logan-- which I love. But have quite a few friends with little Logan's so don't think I could use it.

Max Power! I know the episode, haha.

It's my due date today so could be any day now, promise I'll come back & let you all know (although took us a week to settle on DDs name so could be a while!!)
:)

Max Power.
I remember an episode of the Simpsons Homer was using the hairdryer and saw that written on and thought it was a cool name

Definitely Garion, German name meaning Guardian from the David Edding series.

Althalus is another of his I like.

Khalad (from sparhawk) is close to the Arabic name Khalid/Khaled meaning eternal or immortal.

Zane is from Piers Anthony incarnations of immortality (he goes on to be the incarnation of death but in a good way! ) in Hebrew Zane means God is Gracious.

Im going to watch this thread as I want to know final choice make sure to update and congrats.

Btw I've just realised that both my dds have names very very similar to 2 characters from 1 of these books. Obviously crept into my subconscious!

I'm not kidding, I actually have this book:

www.amazon.co.uk/Sci-fi-Baby-Names-This-World/dp/1594741611?tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21

If you buy it from the second hand dealers you can get it really cheap!

It's surprisingly well-researched, and I'd recommend it!

Our 'boy's' name was Jaxom.

Only we had 2DDs. I talked DH out of calling DD1 Merlin though, we went with Elanor (Samwide Gamgee's daughter).
