Just can't find any traditional but not too popular boys names.

We don't know the sex yet but have lots of nice girls names to call our baby expected in May. But boys we are really struggling with. I love Charlie, Thomas and Oliver but these are all in the top ten names.

Other ones I like are Frederick or Edward but DH not keen on either as he doesn't like the nn for them.

Any ideas? Can't begin with an A as have family middle names x2 that start with A and can't begin with H as our surname begins with it.

I chose DS2's names from the index in the Bible. Not because I wanted a biblical name, but because I wanted a "real" but slightly unusual name. I came up with quite a list. Most of the names we think of as traditional (rather than old fashioned) feature somewhere in the Bible.

I'm a bit fearful of the Kate / Wills popularity, but William is still at the top of our list. I like Will as a NN.

We also have James, although I'm not that keen on any of the NNs although can live with Jamie or Jay.

Also like Thomas / Tom.

The difficulty with boys names is that there are far fewer which are nice, not whacky but not completely run of the mill. I feel like you can 'get away' with more with girls' names. Boys you need them to sound solid without being boring, so is v tricky!
