Adele's baby - still no name announcement!

I'm slightly irritated by the fact that Adele still hasn't announced the name of her baby boy. She wants privacy, I get that, but even us normal non-celeb folk announce our babies' names in the newspaper. AIBU?

Angelo isn't an Abba song,is it? Think it was by Brotherhood of Man.

Whoops, I didn't RTT and I have just realised she has in fact named him now!

Just hearing the name makes me hum the ABBA song.

I think what she is doing is a stroke of anti-establishment genius. All power to her elbow.

When she runs out of time to register the baby I think she should just name him (officially) John (while calling him Django or Otis or whatever) and then keep us all guessing until someone who knows her can no longer keep their gob shut.

Not what I was expecting, but I don't mind it. Reminds me of Martha Wainwright's son - Arcangelo. Now that is pretty out there.

I like it too, its just that whenever I hear it in my head I can hear Mick Jagger going "Angie ooo Angie"

He's called Angelo James

He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy!
Sorry.
Is the baby actually called Angelo? I can imagine she'd go for a name like that. I rather like it. :-)

Who is Adele and why should anyone be remotely interested in the name of her baby.

Has she given birth to the Messiah or something?

The baby's name is Angelo

Sorry, first child is Ethel. What on earth made me think it was Maud Blush

Report
FranglaisMaman · 23/01/2013 19:41

Ooh liking Marnie Rose, very Alfred Hitchcock. Isn't her first child called Maud? Not keen on that though Hmm

Don't understand why Adele is being so secretive. Surely she'd get the press off her back quicker if she just announced the name and had done with it? Rather than keeping everyone hanging on waiting to find out.

Are you sure it doesn't say Adele?

Report
starjules · 23/01/2013 13:08

It could be called Angelo, she is pictured in the daily mail today with an Angelo necklace on.

Yay! She got the Golden Globe!!! She'll tell us the name when she's good and ready I reckon.

She's been in the DM online today shopping for bouncy chairs and baby gyms...

I think Daniel, or something very normal.

I have bets on Adele's baby being names James or Daniel, something after James Bond after her success with Skyfall. But would love to know soon.

I feel dreadful for Lily Allen's children, Ethel & Marnie. Not a massive fan of so called "vintage names" i'm afraid.

Royal names will be massive this year, especially with Kate being pregnant.

I love Fearne Cotton, she's an absolute star so can't wait to hear the name of her littlun. I wreckon it'll be rather girly for her.

If when born they just said
Baby boy named bob
Or baby girl name sue
Wouldn't people stop hassling them wanting to know

Report
Willabywallaby · 11/01/2013 23:01

I can excuse Irish names for not at all sounding like they are spelt, but otherwise a name that the poor child would be explaining for the rest of their lives should not be inflicted.
