Girls' names meaning "dawn" - Aubeline?

Looking for a girl's name that means dawn.

I actually quite like Dawn.

Don't want to use Aurora, just not for me.

I do like Ayelet, "dawn hind/gazelle" in Hebrew.

Stumbled across Aubeline, which allegedly means dawn in French but is potentially way too much like aubergine.

Help!

I still like Gloria Joy!

I like Vita as well but for some reason it's not grabbing me for this baby.

Zara - I like, but I've got a very good friend with a 4yo Zara which feels a bit close to home

Lux - I feel I should like but, having grown up in Australia where I think the brand might have been bigger, it's still a soap to me

Oriana - love the look and sound, but there's the cruise ship dimension

Danica - not keen on this one; not sure why....

There have been some really great suggestions on this thread but Gloria Joy just has something about it, even though it's not remotely what I started off wanting!!

One of the meanings of Zara is 'radiant dawn'.

Gloria Joy is beautiful. Maggie Gyllenhaal has a baby daughter called Gloria so it's probably back in fashion!

I like Gloria Joy. It's different but not faddy, and it's got a lovely fresh feel. I'd do it.

Oriana - sunrise
Danica - morning star (think it's pron. Dan-eesha)
Lux - light

I think the Gloria on Modern Family will make the name a little bit more mainstream.

Do not call your child Gloria. The poor thing.

Aube is French for dawn, and a lovely name in its own right. Otherwise, on the Lucy theme, I used to know a Lucina (Loo-chee-na).

You can't have Hope Joy even if it is Christmas Xmas Smile

Olivia is a name signifying a new start and a promise of better times ahead -- the dove sent out from Noah's ark plucked an olive sprig which told Noah that the floodwaters had receded and life could resume on land.

Esperanza means hope. There is also Hope.

Zora (Balkan area), Tsura and Tsuritsa (Romani) mean 'light of dawn'

Zaria means 'morning star' or 'sunrise'

I love Vivienne Joy and Vita Joy.

Dowan is an old variant of Dawn...

Iola is pronounced Yo-la with a short 'o' sound (not like yo-yo). If you know how the football manager Martin Jol's surname is pronounced, the 'yo' part is the same as the 'jo' bit.

I think having a relative who died young in sad circumstances would put me off a particular name even though I'm not remotely superstitious. Just because of the association if you know what I mean.

Vida?

On the light theme - Chiara? Italian (key-ar-ah) meaning clear, bright.

Good luck!
