I thought it may be a good idea to have a challenge of 14 craft projects in 2014 - anyone care to join?

The challenge is simple - list 14 projects that you want to complete in 2014 and use this thread to talk about progress / issues / share finished results. Projects can be anything - small, large, WIPs that you've had hanging round for ages, any type of craft.

I'll set a sister thread up in Arts and craft pictures for finished projects.

Ten out of ten for optimism, @Lexi1299. But looking at the picture upthread, it doesn't look too difficult to copy?

I know you posted this ages ago, but I am on the hunt for a Stuffy for a child with Down's! How did you make this? I am coming to the realisation that this might be the only way to get hold of one!

Am doing DS1's bunting now. Turns out felt robots take a long time to appliqué! How is everyone else getting on?

Wow, this is moving so fast. So far I am on track with my "pair of socks a month" and have finished a shawl (picture to follow). Am currently knitting the Yorkhill teddy and some squares for a WoollyHug, as well as some squares for the Olympic blanket the Yarnaholics are doing.

These are all fab!

I am so inspired by this thread. So far this year, I have knitted two minion hats, and made bunting for dd's room. Working on a rainbow chevron blanket for ds2, a knitted monkey for ds1's birthday, several cross stitch kits, and a quilt. Would love to finish them by the end of the year.

well, it wasn't on my list, but I made a fabric ball for DD.

It's made out of a lovely strawberry fabric and I used English patchwork piecing (using 12 pentagons) - then stuffed it with a mix of old toy stuffing and fabric chips.

It's big as a proper football but it's soft and doesn't bounce so much better for indoors!

(I collect the offcuts of all my fabrics, let ut be cotton or fleece and anything that is smaller than 1" square gets chopped up and stored as fabric chips for filling toys.
I never throw anything away)

Lettherebe

I bought some on Ebay.
I did only embroidery ones and for fun, but IIRC there were proper sewing ones available too.

DS2 is making bread at school today and was required to take in an apron.

I don't have one, I had one but never used it so gave it away.
I guess I better make some for next time!Grin
