Hi all.

Last Wednesday I got given the worst news of my life. This is my first pregnancy and they detected NT at over 3.5mm. The ultrasound scan at 13weeks 5 days showed the baby had a flat face, couldn't see nose. They told me the baby will not survive and it looks worse than Down syndrome. I have been asked to come in the next two weeks for an amnio test to confirm what is going on. Anyone experienced the same thing? Any advice will be very helpful. I am so confused right now and have lost my appetite completely. Thanks

Wow, I’m so happy to hear how many of you cried and felt my pain wnd happiness when I went through my mc and had my two lovely children. Daughter just started nursery and son, well I just gobble him up every single day. Whenever I look at him, I remember my first, and I also named him what I named my first. Just had to be done. My first will never be replaced, but his name will always be on my lips through my son.

He was a surprise as well, we didn’t find out the gender. When he got delivered, came into my arms, I cried my heart out. Cried and cried, wouldn’t stop. Can’t describe the love I felt.

Thank you all for your kind words and may you all be blessed with your bundles of joy xxx

Not so good Hope. I plucked up the courage to try for another, had a few issues, fell pregnant within 8 months. Had all the harmony tests and lots of scans, everything was looking great then found out at a routine scan at 14 weeks that ds had died, looks like he died the day after we had a clear harmony result and great mini anomoly scan.

We've decided that dd1 is enough for us now and that we can't go through another pregnancy again.

I'm 5 months on from loosing ds and things are getting better but it's pretty shit tbh.

I'm glad your dd is doing well.
