He is isnt he!

The peace signs make me want to tear my own eyes out.

But today I read the he said it was great to have 'hung out' with Michael Jackson

No one over the age of 20 says 'hung out', and even then it is an annoying phrase!

Isn't he just!
I read a loathsome interview with him and his appalling daughter Stella in Torygraph in which they gave earnest lectures on how important 'meat free Mondays' were.

Fuck
Right
Off

Now I love the beatles and i went to see Macca last year in Liverpool but the truth is out ther. He's a nob.

'He wont die for ages - ann'

oying people like him always seem to hang on!

Excellent frasersmummy. And so true!!!

I am old though and so I should be forgiven.

Yay I don't get PM either, that stupid little boy face he pulls, and the Vsigns, he is just gormless imo.

Don't like the Beatles, either. A BetaDad - I would much rather watch Tom Jones, as long as I am allowed to sing along loudly to What's New Pussycat

Think Bono is all right, however Smug Earnest Git award must go to Sting, surely? I watched him on a South Bank Show celebration a couple of years ago, thought what a boring, pompous twat.

My mum has a special dislike for him - but then she takes notions against all kinds of people. the only one i agree with is mylene kass - and how!

paul mccartney was a musical genius and so were the Beatles.

the main thing i experience when i see him on TV is just his vacuousness, like he has nothing to say. agree about Stella M though - and so talentless!

YANBU, him and his wobbly head annoy the crap out of me.

I am also glad to discover I am not the only person in the entire world that doesn't like the Beatles.

PM is annoying, true, but Bono takes the title of 'Irritating Smug Git' by a considerable distance.

.

Although the act I would most like to see at Glastonbury - or anywhere for that matter - is The Specials. Watching them on tv last night I was almost in tears, they were absolutely bloody magic! God, Terry Hall, just so yummy (still, even though he must be 50) and Nev Staples was looking AMAZING for a man of his years. And they sounded spot on.

Oh I've gone all nostalgic.

Tinker - no really not a trick question.

BIL spent a great evening with Tom Jones a few years back at Galstonbury (age 30) and he is a serious Blues music fan and said it was one of the most entertaining and surprising evenings he had ever spent.

Each to their own and respect for all tastes.

Oh God, BitOfFun, I fear your prediction may prove correct. The evening will be topped off with Elton John singing Candle in the Wind. The rest of the world will hate and pity us all at the same time.

Ask yourself this quesion would you rather spend an evening at Galastonbury listening to Tom Jones or Paul McCartney?

Erm, Paul McCartney. Obviously Is this a trick question?

I imagine he hates him nancy after he outbid him for the Lennon/McCartney song catalogue.

I find him unbearably irritating and cringeworthy. My biggest fear is that the Olympics opening/closing ceremony will involve all the old farts like him and Mick Jagger etc pratting about and culminating with some big crowd version of Hey Jude....bleeuuuurgh

His jackson tribute was very strangely worded. The way I interpreted it was that he felt under pressure to release something but didn't want to be too full of praise given Jackson's dodgy private life.

i quite liked paul's last single. i wouldn't watch tom jones play at the end of my garden.

Tom Jones has totally reinvented himself in the last few years and is still relevant to people a generation or two younger. His son is now his manager and has been a huge part of that.

Paul McCartney has not reinvented himself and perhaps to continue his career he should have done.

And agree with Dairymps' dh!

Spies like us? Aaaagggghhh

I do quite like that bit in Band on the Run when he goes, "If we ever get out of here" and then the rest of it turns into gormless annoying nonsense.
