I live in the darkest depths of the countryside, I am a big supoprter of agriculture so I am being totally unreasonable. DS is a nightmare sleeper at the best of times, and is also obsessed with tractors.

Tonight they are literally making hay while the sun shines (or shone, today). Every 30 seconds a very large tractor towing an even larger trailer, doing a lot more than 30mph, comes trundling through the village making my house shake. DS is going to wake up again any minute.

AARRRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!

FiveGoMad - yes it was a bit hectic - we have 250 acres of mixed arable...it was barley this year but the entire crop was rejected.
This has happened to thousands of farmers all over Britain due to the bad weather plus the energy costs to dry the grains.
We have beef cattle, three sheep, goats, chickens, ducks and geese.

I don't know what will happen next year as the price of everything has rocketed but the grain has been a massive loss.

I have to add a wuffler. Tis my favourite.

Would a boy of 3 like these DVD's?? He is into all things boy like? Any suggestions on which are the best ones?? Thanks

georgimama · 23/10/2008 07:09

Oh yes a boy of three would like them very much - DS is 20 months so a bit young for them really but he just loves them! They aren't cartoons, they are like little documentaries about life on the farm. If you look at the link above there are some clips on their website. I would think boys (or girls actually) up to about 7 or 8 would get a lot out of them.

There are about 8 DVDs, they are all lovely but Tractor Ted Meets the Animals, Organic Farm and the seasons of the year (particularly autumn and spring as lots of "tractor action") are DS's favourites.
