Abusive ex partner

After years of abuse i finally reported my ex to the police. He was arrested and bailed to our house last week so me and my child are now waiting for emergency housing. Ladies who have been through this how did you feel? I'm starting to feel major guilt i've just turned my childs life upside down before he starts reception next week and now he has a social worker. Just feeling like the worse mum in the world right now and don't want him to end up hating me
