DH spent our savings

DH has just spent £12k on solar panels. There was an offer on at Costco which included installation. He tried calling me but I was away with work so he made the decision to buy it. I’m really cross as it’s a lot of money, but he says it’s something we’ve talked about and he knew how I felt (which is true) and that I’d say great let’s do it (which is also true). therefore he doesn’t see what the problem is - but I still feel a bit miffed. AIBU?
