Have you ever thought that trump may be awful but he said he would help uk after Brexit. Biden may or may not chances are the latter. At least trump has helped the working class. He opens his gob and crap comes out but wages gone up unemployment down

Well, we Americans weren't given much of a choice, now were we? 330 million people and this is what we've got. Really. I'll have to go with Biden as the lesser of two evils, but it's not so much a vote for Biden as it is a vote against Trump, because I can't deal with this shit for another four years.

If I were to vote I'd vote for Biden, but I don't know that I could bring myself to do it.

There area few basic things that I'd really have to close my eyes to with such a vote. But I'd do it anyway I think.

What would really gve me pause is that I think if Biden wins, the Democratic party will take it to mean Trump's election was a fluke and they can carry on with business as usual, with their pandering to globalism, banks, and identity politics. And if that happens, soon enough there will be another dangerous man who emerges who says he will stand against that. He might not be a buffoon either.

Any idea why she is polling so low, because people don't think she can win or people don't even know about her?

(a) She's hatstand
(b) the US is a two party system

@BeaverTail

Why wasn't Jo Jorgensen allowed on the debate?
To qualify for the debate, candidates need to meet certain criteria, including a requirement that they are polling at least 15% nationally in a certain number of polls.

Jorgensen is polling at about 2.5%.

Thank you Beaver. I wasn't aware of that. Its a shame I think it would have been a lot more interesting with her on there too.

Since when does earning $85000 a year make some a "rich kid"? Sure, you're not on the breadline, but if someone is the sole earner and has kids, mortgage, student debt etc that's actually fuck all money and would involve being on a pretty tight budget.

Please stop conflating immigrants who earn very slightly above average incomes with wealthy billionaires living in tax havens.

Unless you’re self-employed. I still have to pay a percentage of my non-US income because of that.
But you get a deduction for Tax paid in 95% of other countries and all of Europe has higher tax rates than the US Federal taxes
so frankly
zero sympathy

If you think Trump is good for the world, go and vote for him

Then as you must earn over $85,000 a year to not get the overseas exemption

You apparently know squat about the US tax code

How dare I want to actually keep the money I make and not give it to the US government 🙄

Especially as I haven’t even lived in the US for many years, yet still have to file and pay taxes 🤬

It’s not selfish of me to want to keep the money I made; it’s selfish for you to want to take it away

This is awful to say but I'm not sure I believe DT has Covid or that Melania has it.
Do they spend that much time in each others company ?
Has their son also got it ?
Her parents are elderly and live with her, I think.

They were on the plane together for the rallies. A friend observed TV coverage where she saw them all using the handrail on the plane after Hope Hicks. Hope Hicks was known to have Covoid symptoms then and tested positive. I know the Trump administration thrives on lies but I don't think him having Covoid is one. It just highlights how irresponsible he is.

@HelloToMyKitty

I am glad you think this political race is all about your stock portfolio

And why shouldn’t this be a consideration for me? I don’t want higher capital gains taxes nor a wealth tax so would vote against anyone proposing these. The IRS takes enough as it is, though I haven’t lived in the US for years.

Biden (to my knowledge) hasn’t suggested this so not going to vote against him (but won’t vote for him either).

See Trump tax returns (sigh)

Why I live in the UK : simple, selfish people like you !

In American elections
EVERY vote is counted.

When there is a landslide, the result can be called before the tallying is complete
but EVERY vote is counted

anybody who says otherwise is a lying Putin funded troll

Just stop. That is exactly what I said in my original post:

I’m not voting (never do, absentee ballots aren’t usually counted anyway unless it’s close)

Yes, I should have clarified that I’d be voting from overseas, so a little different than your usual absentee ballot, which I did in subsequent posts. I thought it fairly obvious I’m overseas, as I’m posting on MN 🙄

@HelloToMyKitty

Danja

I feel like you are not listening to what I am saying. Absentee ballots are counted but overseas ballots usually are not counted before a state is called unless it’s really close. As I have been saying.

Sure my vote might end up in a final tally a month later but it’s kind of pointless then tbh. Check out what happened with military ballots in Florida during Bush vs Gore election. They were only going to count for the election once it became contested: edition.cnn.com/2015/11/02/politics/bush-gore-military-ballots/index.html

I haven’t forgotten that.

I really don’t think my home state is going to be that close so that’s why I won’t bother either way (in fact, you probably wouldn’t want me to vote. Getting tired of seeing Antifa loot our cities ...).

Your posts are so loaded with misinformation that it beggars belief. You obviously watch "certain" news outlets. May I remind you that you started your original post by saying absentee ballots are not counted. Enough said. Anyways, with Covidiot-in-Chief having become infected he may have upended the whole voting process and hopefully the SCOTUS proceedings. having gone to a rally and other fundraisers after having contact with Hicks and KNOWING that she is Covoid positive shows how reckless and dangerous T is .

I have seen more responsible 5 year old than Trump, However he could out-tantrum any 5 year old on the planet. I wouldn't trust Trump as far as I could throw him, there is only one thing that trump cares about HIMSELF.
At least Biden is grown up.

It wouldn't surprise me if he dropped out altogether to save face. He'd blame some kind of health problem and pretend he's gutted, but I think he knows he's going to lose. Even many Republicans don't want him to get re-elected. He's a loose cannon.

Dropping out won't save him from the legal jeopardy that he's in
Not to mention all those loans that are coming due
He's toast

I wonder whether he actually has covid - like a previous poster says, it feels very co-incidental. Or he has got it and is going to emerge telling American people that the severity is fake news. Or he's actually going to die and then will get a hero's state funeral. Whatever happens he will use it to his advantage in some way, even if it's from beyond the grave.

I detest him. So if I did have a vote, it would be Biden all the way...

(sorry I realise that I sounds very angry for a Friday morning!)
