AIBU?

I've been booted from a FB fish keeping group, aibu to ask them why?

Or should I just leave with my virtual head held high?

I have no idea what rule I could have broken. I'm more of a reader and liker of posts. But I did reply to a post with a negative review about a company someone wanted opinions on.

It was a nice group. I'm actually sad. It's still there but its not letting me request to join.

Thank you. This has made me smile all over again!

@Pippapotomus

An update!

Turns out I wasn’t booted out after all. The whole group was suspended from Facebook as a photo of a fish tank with a very clear reflection of its naked owner made it past the group admin, it apparently breaks Facebook rules.

Suspended for fish tank nudity. :o

I'm glad you found out the real reason but that made me laugh, OP.

I'll resist the urge to ask whether there were any pollocks in the picture...

These fish puns are shoal lazy, I can't sea how I'm finding the thread so river-ting.

Complain OP, then hopefully they'll turbot charge your reinstatement and it'll all be hunky Dory.

Just mack-relly sure you ask them nicely, or they might clam up.

@Pippapotomus Better out than to be stuck in the group like sardines in a tin. So many Admins behaving like loan sharks.
F-eel free to start your own group, rope me in when yer do!

So annoying when you can't discus something properly on a group and every comment is a barb.

Indeed, still when it's all over maybe they'll make up and do the conger together.

I agree. It's best that they've filtered you out. But they might just want to scale down the group?

It sounds like you are best out of such shark-infested waters. You were a fish out of water there anyway.

I would have got away with it too, if it hadn’t been for those pesce admins!

I would ask, especially if it was unwarranted.

I was kicked form a local group for pointing out blatantly sexist remarks that were against their posted rules. The OP of the thread(who also happened to be the admin who booted me) said it was okay for him to be sexist, as he didn't mean to offend "I was just joking and all the women think it's funny" (not one woman liked the post), but when I pointed out that I was offended, he told me to get a grip and get back to the kitchen or see a doctor about my hysteria problem!

He then came into my workplace a few months later and tried the same shit with me, so I took great pleasure in showing him the way to the door Grin

The think is OP, if you leave a bad review, it can cause a company to tank.

Move along, there's nothing to sea here

Spoilsport, the OP is still basking in the glory of starting such a magnificent thread.

If the OP's lucky, she might get a few squid in compensation.
That would be Jawsome.

This happened to me on a baby led weaning group when I mentioned sometimes spooning porridge to my then one year old. Some of these groups are ridiculous Grin

This warms the cockles of my heart. Thank you OP. Maybe they were worried in case the dispute developed into actual litigation later?

Reel it in everyone. These jokes are krill-ing me. The OP has obviously met her Nemo-sis.
