AIBU to ask if anyone knows anyone on here in RL

Does anybody know somebody who posts on here in RL but they don't know that you know who they are? Not asking anyone to out anyone im just curious. My senior manager is on here. She doesn't know who I am in work so never mind anywhere else!
At work she appears unapproachable but on here whenever I see her she seems really kind. Anyone else?

Not on here, but I knew someone on a wedding forum years ago. Quite fascinating, as she painted her and the groom as love’s young dream, when the reality was anything but.

I know one person knows who I am on here but I’m much the same as in real life/honest about stuff so don’t bother changing username 🙈🤷🏻‍♀️ Sadly haven’t recognised anyone myself!

I know one person on here, but she has her real name as her username (give or take) and isn't an overly active member. Is lovely though, both on here and irl! She knows I know and isn't remotely bothered! (she also knows my username, but so far I haven't said anything on here I wouldn't say irl)

I’ve read quite a few threads that really remind me of people I know but I don’t go dogging about past posting history or anything so wouldn’t really know for sure. I once read a really nasty post and was mildly paranoid it was about me (the scenario was uncannily similar) but figured it wasn’t.

I don't think you can be certain. I once read a post that could have been written by me - such an unusual and specific set of events, but it definitely wasn't me.

I knew someone well who was on here a lot. Whenever she namechanged i could spot her immediately.

Another friend of mine is here and she will know I am. Not a problem as far as I'm aware.

I recognise a school mum on here. She has a very particular style of expression and always comments on education threads about the specific schools her children go to. She has name changed a couple of times but always gives the same specific information again so I recognise her every time.

My very good friend was going through a particularly difficult time with some specific legal ramifications. I read a thread on her and the lady was going through much the same, so I said to friend "oooh, there was a lady on mn going through the same as you, she got great advice! Let me find the thread for you" She got all flustered and embarrassed and rushed off (to change her username obviously 😳) ..... I should have realised it was her. I felt very bad for embarrassing her, but pretending I hadn't cottoned on.

Yes, but the other way round. One of my friends said she had recognised me on mumsnet from some identifying details I had posted: "You're Saracen aren't you?" Only I didn't ask her username and I have now forgotten which friend it was!

This has the bonus of making me extra careful not to say anything remotely unkind here about any of my friends LOL.

I could just change my username, but where would be the fun in that?

There is someone on here that I know vaguely in real life. They are lovely on here and seems equally lovely in real life. They have been on here a long time under the same user name. So no, I have not told them and wont. I dont discuss their business either here or in real life.

I was however stalked on here by my ex's partner and her family and they tried to submit my postings to court. Funnily enough that didnt go down very well. I was so tempted not to change my name so could poke them for eternity, but in the end did. Who wants to be stalked by a wierdo?

Someone I went to primary school with! She mentioned something specific to the area we grew up in and so I looked at her MN profile and she has a photo of herself on it.

Once at a MN meetup I met big personality A who had many DDs, she just kept churning them out, but "No, she didn't want a boy and she was fed up with people assuming she wanted a boy!" she often told MN.

I figured out that 2 people (B, C) I know IRL also knew A. Any gossip from B+C about A mentioned how obsessed A was with little baby boys & always talking about how different her life would be if she had a baby boy (!!)

A (finally) had a baby boy & a big baby gap after that boy before next baby. Not sure what child #6 was... A also never told MN about a some major problems in her personal life that B+C would also blithely mention. A is/was nice... just a bit self-deceptive and discreet about some of her life truths.

I don’t know anyone on here (even though numbers involved means I probably do without knowing ) but I do regularly check in the education area to see if my dc school is mentioned! I’d love to see a thread and possibly some Inside gossip about the school 😂
