Having a quick think between properties and savings we are at about 650k ...55k is cash savings, another 50k is shares and investments

I genuinely don't care. We have enough money in the bank, no debt, good pensions and our mortgage is small.

I don't see how comparing an arbitrary figure could be classed as fun though. To some people having a thousand quid in the bank means that they are skint; for others the same amount would feel like a huge amount.

About £5k, I'd guess, including £2.5k cash (payday yesterday), an old car and whatever you'd get for the rest of my possessions - nothing new, nothing valuable. I don't own a house or any other investments.

We're at about £450-460k, and £400k of that is the house. I'm already getting my (paltry) pension, DP has no pension worth speaking of.

Yes, DH's last job wanted a crazy amount of info to check he wasnt in hidden debt that could make him bribable. It actually came to quite a lot with the house, cars, savings etc.

I keep track of things to help with financial planning. I’d say not very much of actual cash sitting about - less than 10% of the total pot but substantially more in pretty liquid investments.

I think i worked it out to about 950k

But that is us selling the house, shares and taking dh FULL pension...which i assume would be reduced by tax...so it would be if we pretend that we wouldn’t have to pay any tax
