To ask if you and your partner keep your money separate, what will you do in retirement?

I see that many people keep their money separate from their spouse and tend to pay a percentage of their individual income towards the mortgage and bills.

I wondered are you saving separately for retirement and is it a case of when you retire you will each continue to live off your own individual investments and pension? Or is this something you do joint?
