Ok so my previous topics will show i have a hell of a lot going on personally. Yesterday at work I had 3 sharp chest pains about my lungs, turns out today it's a muscle related problem. I was walking down the corridor and had one of these pains, it made me wince in agaony... a college helped and got first aid. Now we use walkie talkie radios at work. Maybe 12 members of staff have them. First message went out was "(my name) is struggling with chest pains can we get him checked out please" so not very confidential at all which annoyed me. Then their was a split pause on the radio and the shift manager said "we have run out of raw materials and work on the production line, can we fine more produce" or along the lines of that.
Anyway today I got a text from my colleague saying we heard on the radio you were poorly are you ok? Hes my mate anyway so I would have told him anyway

Am I just trying to moan about anything or is my reason to be peeved off justified?

The possible problem is that just radioing “first aider to x location please” might mean the first aider finishes their chat has a swig of their tea n toddles over waiting on Mary with one of her headaches that always crop up on a Friday type of attitude.. which they shouldn’t but how often does someone have an actual medical emergency in the office.

With the pp’s no one announced you shit yourself or anything embarrassing.

Sorry but I think YABU. The priority was to get help and whoever called the ambulance would have been asked your age, gender etc so they did need to know who it was. Sorry that you are feeling such stress.

Well if I found someone with chest pains (symptom of heart attack) I don’t think my first concern would be confidentiality.

I'd just guess they thought it was a medical emergency and that kind of trumps things. I don't see the issue at all. If I had to be picky it would be that the other employee should have left the air clear for a response.

YABU they were trying to help and needed to get the seriousness of the situation across - I don't think it's unreasonable at all that they mentioned chest pains

I think they were trying their best to look after you. I've seen your other post and you definitely do have a lot going on so that's probably why this has upset you

I wouldn't give a rat's arse that other people heard a call out for emergency first aid because I was having chest pains.

Last thing in the world I would worry about. They didn't say "Please someone send the cleaner to the toilets because Yellowskies has shit himself"

I think the first priority was to get help. I think your letting your stress make an issue where there doesn’t need to be one

TBF their main priority would surely to get you some help? If I was in a corridor having chest pains and someone found me they'd probably run back into the office and shout it out too, that was a 1st aider can come help and ambulance called or alternative if required.

Also work HR have been informed about my family life and at first on the way to the hospital I thought it was stress related that's why I mentioned that at the topic opening
