Afterall you can send your ex-DH or DW a card for the anniversary of your divorce! And you can send you cat and dog a birthday card .

You can also get balloons, and banners for Christenings and cards to the child, but nothing at all for God Parents. 3 years ago when DD was Baptised I managed to find something then, all beit to firdge magnet frames to GM's and a Keyring for GF

And again all I want is a little token gift like a picture frame or candle, or even a mug, to commemorate the day and little card with some nice words. I have been in 3 card shops this morning and nothing!!

So as the GM's are both aunts and GF is a good friend have bought mugs for such and have placed inside two chocolate hearts and a picture of DS. And I have bought 3 identical cards and will write my own words.
Actually that's probably more thoughtful....

But am I being unreasonable to expect more from the card shops, who never normally miss a trick to part us from our cash.

you know what, home-made things are always nicer.

as are your own words.

You might have more joy with a Christian bookshop, seeing as card shops are generally secular and baptism is a Christian sacrament.

I know I should have been more organised, but I dont drive I only had the shops in our town.

I had planned everything except a little something for the GP's

But I now have something I am happy they will like - and that's the main thing

What you've done sounds much nicer than something you'd pay through the nose for at Clintons anyway!
