I found an unopened mashem toy in my DS 5 pocket this morning.

He was being rather furtive and when I finally managed to get a look in his jacket pocket I found the toy.

He looked pretty wide eyed with fear and said he found it under his bed. I’ve not bought this toy and neither has my husband.

I’m wondering how I will get the truth out of him and what to do if he has stolen it from a shop?

I really can’t abide stealing and I am looking for some advice if anyone has had their child do something similar.

I know he’s 5 and still very young but he knows not to take things that don’t belong to him.

Ask him whether he actually took it from a shop. Tell him you love him and he won’t be in terrible trouble, but he will have to take it back and apologise. Loads of kids do this, don’t worry.
