By hanging out my bedroom window - screeching "Do you mind not letting your dog shit right outside tmy house?"

BLOODY CHEEK

WOman who walks her two mange ridden mutts up and down and up an down the street all day - let one of them squat and crap right at the end of my path.

She just shouted "Sorry - he has to go to the toilet somewhere"

I was flabbergasted.

Afraid I swore like a navvy and told her to clean it up.

She stuck her two fingers up to me, told me to piss off and mind my own business and tootled off with horrid looking mongrels up the street.

Unfortunately it's pretty much impossible to stop a dog going once it has started (believe me I have tried with my own dog)

BUT it is illegal not to clean upafter your dog and you can be fined £1000 for it.

Get her details and report the filthy woman to the council and police.

Any one who does not clean up after their dog does not deserve to have one one IMO. It's all about responsible dog ownership.

A bloke used to walk his do to the corner of my parents house for the dog to shit. He did this every day.

In the end my father threw a bucket of water over the woner and dog, and told him that the next time it would be a bucket of piss.

Oddly enough the dog shit stopped after that.

Dad liked living life on the edge, as the dog owner was a big, hard bloke.

YANBU you should report her.

I had a really awful experience with my last rottie. I was taking him to the vets, little did i know for the last time , and he did an huge poo about 100 yards from the vets but right outside the school at the school run time. I coudlnt stop him, i tried to push the poor sod into the road but he couldnt hold himself. It was awful, mothers were having to take thier children into the road to avoid it and i had NO POO BAG!! he NEVER pooed while he was on a lead and i really was too upset to think about it. I had to stand there and guard the poo and wait until a mother with children offfered me a poo bag . Surprisingly everyone was really understanding as they could see my poor dog was really not well. I was absolutely mortified though.

Apparently if you have any old perfume and you pour it over a habitual shitsite then dogs dislike it and poo elsewhere. Maybe that Zoloft or whatever it's called would put them off. It's worth trying - anything is better than having your front step shat on!!!

lucyellen's mum that is awful and I do feel for you. I was a dog lover once before I lived in this country where there are so many people who don't train their dogs and let them crap everywhere. it's just unbelievable!

If she's doing it regularly then photograph her and send it to your council dog warden.

Just an aside... at the end of my road there's a dog poo bin. Last year some local teenagers put a rocket inside it.

Very naughty and anti social - but I did have to laugh when I reported it to the local bobby!

I would follow her next time and see where she lives - then pick up every poo from outside your house with a spade or something and fling it in her garden, preferably on the doorstep, until she gets the message. My friend did this and it worked. If this is the first time maybe see if she has got the message first.

Our old neighbours dog went through a phase of crapping in our garden, I flung it over the fence a few times and strangely enough it stopped. these people are just selfish and don't want to deal with the shit - if you make it their direct problem you'll be amazed at how quickly it stops.

I opened my front door once to an old lady allowing her dog to do the very same thing. She politely apologies and cleaned it up mind!

NOT AT ALL - I love dogs, but really do hate whoever it is that recently has allowed their dog to shit right outside my front gate.

It is NEVER a pleasant experience trying to wipe dog shit off of my trainers, DS1's shoes, and DS2's buggy wheels - and get to Nursery on time.....

ESPECIALLY when the dog had obviously eaten a curry the night before.....

LOL - my dad saw an owner letting his dog poo outside their gate - when the owner noticed my dad had seen him, he tried to pick up the poop - but lets say it was a bit 'loose'. The guy ended up knocking at the door asking for a bucket of water to swill it away.

I can't stand the owners who do the 'pretend looking the other way' whilst their dog poos

AAAH - have just gone outside to see exactly that happen over the road, the errant dog woman saw me looking at her and said "ooh sorry I haven't got any bags, it'll rain later though won't it?" to which I replied, "maybe, maybe not but I've got some bags you can have" in a nice friendly manner.

She replied "well if it bothers you that much pick it up yourself!"

I'm so wet - non-confrontational and ashamed of myself for being so shite......... all I could muster in response was "well that's not the attitude of a responsible dog owner, is it?" probably going to get a brick through the window now.

(But I did clear it up )

Sadly I can't catch who keeps letting there dog crap outside our house, but the poor dog is ill, or isnt alllowed to stop to do it!

There is normally a line of it all the way up the path, its getting beyond a joke trying to avoid a weeks worth with the buggy when its not rained.

I would report them if I could ever find out who it was, but I don't care enough to sit spying out my window all day...

Bag it up & put it on her doorstep. Or report her- it is a crime as well as being ignorant & unpleasant.
Do you have children in nappies? I can think of at least 1 way to dispose of their poo! But you might get into trouble so will shut up now.
