To be freezing? And it's not even November

I think London has fallen down to 4 degrees at some point every day since the weekend. Which is nippy but we're not in minus figures.

I am finding it so bloody cold though!! Anyone else the same? Is it because it's been quite mild until now?

My ears were actually tingling with pain from cold coming home this evening Confused

It is cold, but expected this time of year is it not?

Perhaps I'm just getting old then, I don't remember feeling the cold this much in years gone by!

I think because the last couple of years have been very mild, we’ve been spoiled.
But I think 10-12 is average, not 5-10
So yes it’s cold
If it’s like this until Feb/March it’ll be horrible

I feel like it's gone colder much sooner this year.

This morning, the cars were thick with ice and there was a thick frost everywhere! I am North West though - might be warmer in the south.

We even had a few flakes of snow the other day Shock

We woke up this morning to a hard frost, a little earlier in the year than normal and a shock to the system!

I think it's because it seems to have dropped all of a sudden rather than a steady drop into single figures. I'm a freeze arse though, my heating has been on a month already!

We’ve had the gritter go passed tonight. I’ve been so cold I had to get another quilt, just cannot get warm. It was still quite hot just a couple of weeks ago when the sun was out but this weekend there’s been icicles.

Nearly -3 in my part of central Scotland this morning when I got up. Don’t think it got above 2 all day

We had a tiny bit of snow and and bad crash locally due to black ice on Saturday. My thermostat is set to 17.5 and is kicking in constantly. It's definitely cold near the north east coast.

Bizarrely had a 14 tog duvet with 6 tog doubled over on top of it last night! I was struggling to get warm. Could hardly burrow my way out this am. I think it has just so suddenly turned cold and I for one am not yet acclimatised after this humdinger of a summer. Hmm

Ok, glad it seems that it is indeed chillier and not just me being a wimp!

I'm under a duvet, but have added long thick socks Shock

I’m cold here too
Put the central heating on tonight first time this year
Had to de ice my car
Considering getting out my fur coat (fake)
I’ve been wearing gloves and scarf first thing on my way to work
Not found my winter duvet yet or shut bedroom window I’m saving that for when I’m really feeling it

It's awful to think there are people out there who will not be able to put on any heating tonight. Especially anyone older or frail who is at risk of becoming pretty unwell Sad

In London and the temperature has dropped a lot. 2 weekends ago we were out all day using the buggy as a coat rack.

We were in Scotland at the end of September and there was a significant temperature difference from what we used to London. It felt like autumn was there but not in London.

Time to dig out the winter clothes.
