I made a big pan of lovely soup yesterday, including fresh chicken stock, lots of vegetables, and pearl barley. I had to pop out to health visitor clinic, and asked Mr Karate, if he had a moment, could he please check whether it needed more water to be added (due to the barley soaking up the stock) and pop it in the fridge.
I just took some out for my lunch. He's put it in the blender My lovely soup is now all smooth and gluey from the pearl barley...
Could this be the beginning of the end?! Is it a huge red flag that he can't imagine life with lumpy soup?!
I feel I should add, to avoid the drip-feed, that he did also clean the hob after he'd transferred the gluey soup into the fridge.
Please share some stories of 'helpful' things your other half/kids etc have done to assuage my sadness!
