To kick her feet

I work in an open plan office and the woman opposite me constantly has her feet under my desk! I often have my feet tucked under me but sometimes I want to stretch my legs out a little bit but her kicked off shoes or bare feet will already be there!

I've started kicking her shoes back under her desk and not looking before shifting my position so if her feet get a kick too bad.

She's the open plan office nightmare - constantly muttering to herself, eats loudly, types loudly, holds long loud personal calls then tolls her eyes when asked to doe something like send a letter! Pisses me off no end.

God I hate these people you have to tip toe around, who feel they are the centre of everyone's universe. We have one in our office, thinks she's special and thus requires special treatment. Gggrrrr.

Can you ask for a 'modesty' panel to be put up between your desks? Usually they are for people who sit behind reception desks so that their lower body isn't on show, but I'm sure you could get one for the purpose of 'so I don't keep kicking my poor opposite number by accident, which happens fairly regularly' etc.?

When I have a wee in my work loo, there's one colleague who , if we use the loo at the same time, sits in a way that causes her feet to protrude under the partition into my cubicle.

I want to say ' Oi, get your feet out of here' but of course I don't.

I can say from experience that geese love pecking at toes. How you'll explain having a goose under your desk I don't know, but she'll never put her feet there again.

I'd be going in an hour early with a one-i-made-earlier piece of MDF to nail over the space between the desks. That way when she looks down it looks like part of the desk. If you wanted you could leave a toe space along the bottom so you can still kick at her when you feel like it.

If she gets on your nerves she probably annoys everyone else too. Like the idea of the box but she'd probably constantly kick it over to your side which could annoy you even more.
Could you just say to her, "Stop kicking me" and see what happens? Maybe it's all a ruse so that she can an office of her own.

Ha definitelyMolly we have one of those. She knows it annoys everyone, jokes about it but seems to think everyone is indulgently smiling 'aaah that's just annoyingcolleague for you' when actually when she's not there everyone is muttering ffs and moving her stuff out of their way. If you actually got cross about it she'd be loudly telling everyone how mean you are and crying to the boss within 5 mins.

Penguin bollards?


I have no idea what these are (assuming bollards painted to look like penguins) but they seem to be the mn solution to anything parked where it shouldn't be!
