To want a nice thread?

Yeah yeah, I know.
But every other thread is some weird troll trying to convince me their teenager is doing something obscene or someone being disingenuous about family size, meal size, parenting or pet ownership in order to start a ruck.

Anyway.....
I have a new shed and its gorgeous and I painted the inside pink and the outside sage green. I had the day off today and met a friend for coffee in our lovely park and then had another round for lunch IN MY SHED.
And it was sunny all day and I did way over my 10,000 steps.

Only slight negative is that I can't get the sage green paint off my fingernails.

So what nice things did you do today or think today or hear today?

Another sunny day yesterday.
I met a friend for coffee (I know, I sound like a lady of leisure!)
I popped in a couple of charity shops and bought three lovely dresses. One Monsoon, one Laura Ashley and one ......Etam! Also a big leopard print scarf to add to my collection.

My grown up boy came round and we picked up the two youngest kids and went on a protest against the school cuts. Then we had dinner in a cafe. All walked home and my middle boy came back from his club in a good mood.

So a pretty groovy day all in all.

Doesn't the sun make all the difference? I like a good run of hot weather because when it breaks even that feels like and excuse to do indoor type things.

I love your shed op. I also love this thread.

I took dd (11 months) to the park, and she giggled and stuck her tongue out as me on the swings
We played with a big bowl of water, with ice cubes with fresh flowers inside. It was messy but dd's happy little face was so cute!
The sunshine was beautiful and we enjoyed a lovely walk
Dh let me have the last of the fancy ice cream

Currently lying on a rug in the sunshine surrounded by squashed strawberries and juice. Delicious 22 month old chubsome delight of a DS is riding on my back and then climbing off and coming round to squat down in front of my face and laugh at me. I love him so much.

Both nice and sad- met up with a friend who is moving to Australia on Saturday and I won't see her for over a year Sad But we had lovely chats and it was great to spend the afternoon with her.

I'm jealous of the shed.
I got my fitbit today, I can't wait to try it out.
I also painted my nails a lovely orange.
I just ate a dr oetker pizza
I planted a cucamelon plant in the greenhouse and now I'm impatient for teeny melons to grow.
I have clean bedding for the bed. DH is away tonight so I get lovely clean fresh sheets that were dried in the garden without him scratching and farting and ruining them.

Love this. I have a new job which has given me my happiness back. It's still demanding but in a much nicer field and has flexible hours. I've just finished my last bit of work at the kitchen table and am now sitting in the garden watching the dog amble about and sniff the flowers. Smile

I've found an amazing child minder. Dd has been going to an after school/holiday club for over a year now and she hated it. Really hates it. She would always get upset before going. Any way. I've found a lovely child minder dd loves her and already know the other children she looks after. I feel like a massive weight has been lifted.

Friday's good for me. It's going to be a scorcher apparently.

It was really hot here today. My new vacuum arrived and I stupidly decided to do the stairs, and got horribly sweaty. New vacuum has headlamps. Shock

Have just booked a session at Splash Landings for next week, as a surprise for the DDs. We're going to pretend we're just going for a drive + lunch, then rock up at SL instead - also meeting friends there, so it will be a lovely double surprise Smile

Sounds lovely!
I am currently trying to persuade clematis to trail over my dingy, brown shed. The roof is in sunlight, but the sides of the shed are in shade, so this seemed a good way to get some flowers around it. It is a long project, but I love clematis so will hopefully look lovely once its fully grown!
