My sister is 44 and we have nothing in common at all. She has no children, lives with my parents, no hobbies. Spent most of her early adulthood going off the rails and we have grown apart (but get on superficially). I want to get her something nice as appreciate her situation is not great but am at a loss. Going shopping later. Want to spend up to £30,

MrsJayy, I can't get to see them this time around but have seen them many times in the past. Even took myself off to New York to see Billie Joe in American Idiot when it was on Broadway.

I got my sister a pair of posh wool socks. Somebody upthread suggested PJs - I think that's a great idea. Fail-safe I reckon, as long as you know her size.

socks, a breaking b(re)ad board, runners world subscription and a reading book as requested...

SIL is getting a donation to charity as requested - she's doing the same for her present to me

Sister has got me and DH tickets to see a show with her and her DH

My sister is 58, in a relationship but has no kids - and like you OP, we have nothing in common. Maybe due to the age difference but we couldn't be more different if we tried. While she's listening to Mozart, I'm listening to Green Day.

Anyway, this year I've bought her a Wood Wick candle and a lovely Christmas jigsaw. She loves jigsaws.

Sister in law is getting nothing.

No sister but I do buy for one of my SILs - a homemade hamper to share with my brother, stuffed with gorgeous food and alcohol. I've also bought her a gorgeous handmade item for her house, she'll love it as it screamed her name as soon as I saw it Xmas Smile

My 2 older sisters in their 50's

Sister 1 - nail set as she is growing her nails and some OPI nail envy
Sister 2 - Nice hairbrush and a mascara
Sister 3 - didn't want to do gifts, fair enough.

We did give lists of what we wanted though.
I asked for a good moisturiser and a decent mascara. I feel as I'm approaching 50 myself I should probably start some kind of skin routine and maybe try to wear make-up more often!?

We had a budget of £25.

don't think I'll be at all helpful OP. I've bought DSis a framed poster, vodka & lots of camera film (she's 22) and SIL art history books & a yoga mat!

I usually get craft stuff, jewellery, books or accessories (slippers/pjs/bags etc) from various family members.

Sister 1- nothing as she is a weapons grade bitch. And has not bought anything for me for years. This year I have finally given up. I have however bought presents for her kids.

Sister 2 - a poncy spiraliser as requested. She has recently found a love of courgette spaghetti which I am quite happy to humour as long as she doesn't make me eat it!

I've got my sister books - but they were in her wish list so I did know some of the things she was after and makes it sure she's not already read them.

DSis1 - cute socks. Lame, but she always asks me to get socks.

DSis2 - giant jelly baby. She has a very sweet tooth and likes all those really sickly sweets like Haribo and that weird liquid candy you spray in your mouth, neon lolly pops etc.

My sister is 29, had her first baby this year. I got her a Miss Selfridge Voucher (we always buy one for each other as the SuperSkinny type jeans suit us and are always in the Boxing Day sales), some segsations and some stinky cheese; both her favourite Christmas foods.

Voucher for a beauty salon. I want her to have a treat like a facial but I suspect it will go on 'sharpie' brows!
