I've just watched a couple of 'The Wonder of Animals' and realised that I LOVE CHRIS PACKHAM.

So there.Grin

Brodchen, he's definitely subject led, though.

I agree with you about all the others jockeying for position, they are awful, every single one I'm aware of. The best of a bad lot I think might be someone from Countryfile, but I'm tired of KH - she's done too much already.

With any luck, they'll actually look at completely new, unTVed naturalists. The most enduring programmes seem to be led by untrained very interested people, like Moore on The Sky At Night.

He gets on my wick! I find him very preachy.

Dexterjamesmummy · 16/11/2016 13:04

He was on the Chase celebrity edition, ridiculously intelligent, he went for the big money and won it.

Hygellig · 16/11/2016 13:26

I used to think he was great on the Really Wild Show in the 80s (he doesn't seem to have aged much since) and now I admire him for standing up for wildlife and for opposing badger culling. I want to read his autobiography but am waiting for it to come down in price.

I love him even though he's probably filed under "do not approach unless you want your dreams shattered".

My chum and I thought we spotted him when we were driving through Southampton. Such was our dedication to getting a look, I reversed into a bollard causing a huge dent in the car.

It wasn't him.

ExitPursuedBySpartacus · 16/11/2016 18:14

He stands up for some wildlife.

Olympiathequeen · 16/11/2016 18:46

Because he is on the autistic spectrum his manner might be a bit off putting to some people, but others (like me) are very drawn to his brittle outside and his very vulnerable inside.

He also knows a lot about animals and clearly loves them Grin

YANBU.

I doubt if I would watch Springwatch, Autumnwatch and Winterwatch were it not for him, and learn so much about British wildlife. And try and guess which band's lyrics he is using for links.

Rrross1ges · 16/11/2016 19:58

He came to my house when I was a kid. He had a sports car and a very beautiful girlfriend. I got his autograph

You're not my favourite person right now

MatchyMatcha · 16/11/2016 20:02

He's an aspies aspie. I don't watch anything he's in now but have some books of his and they're great. Thought he was quite the hottie back in the day.
