Clothes are not "dirty," they don't smell and I don't want to wash them. I hang them up on a peg/chair to air and wear another couple of times over the course of the week.
DH doesn't understand this and thinks it's a bit minky.
Talking about tops, jeans etc......not pants and socks. Bras are a whole nother subject.

lol at the 'smelling of wee' cos you dont use a tumble drier!
Havent had a tumble drier in 10 years! manage quite well without it. We have radiators, a washing line and airers. Its a pain in the winter if I cant get washing outside but it dries quickly when the heating is on anyway in the evenings. And like many mums I work yet still manage to get a washing on the line! Its not impossible for everyone.
Its horses for courses, if you work in a job where you get grubby then of course you wash clothes, if you dont get them dirty why wash them 'just for the sake of it'?
I dont sweat under arms unless its boiling (as in Florida this year!) its a female 'thing' with my family, none of us do, so dont change tops for a couple of days (3 at the weekend if I am slobbing or blitzing house and nobody to see me 
) same with jeans.
Undies daily. Pjs 2 - 3 nights.
Same with kids. If the clothes aren not dirty, how can they be after wearing them for a few hours after school/slobbing in the house on a saturday, they do another day. Obviously if they get soiled in some way they go in the wash.
I already do a wash daily, more if I am doing bedding so why make more?

New Knicks and socks daily, bra., can wear these for 2 or 3 days, don't know why they go under the radar. Most clothes only wear once. Jeans maybe twice but they get too big after a day. Jumpers more than once if I have a t- shirt under. That's just what I feel comfortable with not going to justify it..
An unconnected issue I know, but, I always seem to have too much washing

Regarding "tumble drier wars" - I use the tumble drier almost exclusively. Our house gets too damp in the wintertime if we try to dry anything indoors and I can't line dry mine or DS1's stuff (or towels, in case we're the ones who use them) in the summertime as it's awful for our hayfever. I felt bad about it until I realised that our drier is 2.5kW and my iron is 1.5kW. When I tumble dry, nothing needs ironing, and if I were to iron a full load of washing that takes an hour in the drier, it'd take me at least twice that to iron it lack of practice probably so I'm actually saving the environment

Out of interest the "don't mention bras" brigade - what do you mean?
Are you like me and only have 2 decent bras or do you change them 3 times a day???
