About the Dog. Again.

So I got back about 3pm, having had a really lovely day out; and I needed it.

My DH has to work (albeit usually from home) and the only time I've been out for the last fortnight is for a never ending round of hospital appointments.

So I get back, and Caramel (next door's Golden Retriever) is in the garden. He's had a rare old time. There's dog mess all over my lawn and it looks like he's chased after the squirrels as a lot of my garden has been wrecked and flattened.

All the dog stuff is in a plastic bag by the gate. The Dog's had no water all day Angry and it's been hot here today. There was a house plant and a card from my neighbour in another plastic bag (first in three months).

DH has been out since the school run this morning, so I thought he had agreed to look after the dog, so I was cross with him as I've got my third breast cancer surgery tomorrow and he hadn't told me about looking after the dog today.
Just spoken to him (he's been in Dorset with no signal).

Neighbour collared him this morning and asked him if we'd look after the dog as she "had to go away for a couple of days" and he said absolutely not. Sorry... Tutti's got more surgery and we've just got too much on at the moment.

So she obviously wouldn't take no for an answer and just left the dog in our garden, reeking havoc all day and with nothing to drink.

I'm beyond fuming.

My other lovely neighbour is taking the dog to her Sister's later when she picks her children up.

Oh please do though. If she does. Jesus. I'd be fuming too. Poor dog.

I remember one of your other posts about that piss taking neighbour OP and the name Caramel stuck with me. I'm very glad he's going to have a lovely new home with people who will actually care for him properly.
She can do one, the heartless bitch.

Something similar happened to a dog on our street when I was growing up. My mum found him straying on the main road when she was walking our dog. She went round and told them in no uncertain times that either they rehomed him or she would. They found him a lovely new home. My mum doesn't loose it often but when she does it's pretty impressive!

Good luck for your surgery op and good luck to Caramel in her new home.

Your neighbour is a prize arse.

Some people are utterly and completely self centred; and some (like me) are too bloody stupid to see it, until it matters.
She's lost a lot of friends that she used to call on, because words got round.

She asked Dawn's husband if they'd look after the dog on Tuesday apparently and he just said no and walked off without further conversation, but you would have to go through their house to get to their garden' so I got lucky, as I've got a side gate.

I don't know what the law says about this situation, but I know what Dawn says. Grin

Its abandonment. Tell her it ran away as no one knew it had been dumped.

Hope your surgery went well Tutti. I remember your other posts about your awful neighbour and that poor dog, and thank heavens for Dawn and her sister!

Well according to DH, her car turned up at lunch time yesterday.

She didn't knock on our door to retrieve the dog until twenty past nine last night.
I was in bed snoring "like a warthog" to quote my dear dear husband.

He just told her that we didn't have the dog, that Dawn had him.

DH was very very short with her. He said that we had clearly told her that we couldn't look after the dog and had been out of the house on Thursday from 7.30am for surgery... what did she expect us to do with her dog ?????
She is so brazen she wasn't fazed by it at all, just shrugged her shoulders, said she'd go and see Dawn. No apology, no explanation, didn't ask how the latest surgery went.....
Will update when I can, but desperate to get my hair washed and trying to get to hairdresser today.

Surgery wasn't as "good" as the last two trevor; and I've been a bit miserable for the last few days.
Disproportionately excited that I've got a hair appointment this morning though as my hair. Gets pom poms out !!!
As it is Autumn, I've decided I want to look like a conker Grin

Jesus if you were my neighbour I would be trying to help and be as quiet as possible if I knew you were going through all that with surgery. Sounds god awful.

I'm mortified if my dog barks in the front garden and disturbs the peace and he only gets away with that if the delivery people open the front door!

Well done to dawn and you for standing up to your horrid neighbour. Such a sad situation in lots of ways.

Enjoy getting your hair done out deserve it xx

EtTu I think you are allowed to feel a bit miserable and have a spiky personality! It sounds like an entirely reasonable response to surgery and stupid dog woman Flowers

Enjoy your hair appt!

Well I'm back and I'm a blonde ginger. Confused

It's my fault; I went to pieces when faced with the colour chart.

The dog update is very boring. She didn't go round to Dawn's last night. She saw Dawn's husband as he was going to work. She asked about the dog, he told her that his sister in law's family had it and were keeping it. She said fine, got in her car and drove off. Her car isn't there at the moment, so I expect she's vanished again.

Glad you are back, wish mine was blonde ginger, it's a boring brown, with ever increasing grey think I will speak to my hairdresser. I dyed my hair black once and it went purple 🤔
Good news for the dog, new home 😀
Hope you feel better soon💐
