To wonder what people's 'hobbies' are?

People are always posting about their/dh's etc mysterious hobbies on aibu, am I the only one who always wonders what they are? I seem to picture really exciting things when it's probably just train spotting or something (which I'm sure is exciting for some people!).

Knitting, Crocheting, Sewing - designing my own unique items mostly. Hate doing something that has been done before by someone.
Baking and decorating cakes.
Pokemon Go has been a bit of obsession lately.
Orchids. Trying to mount few at the moment, but might have to repot them again.

I would love to try and make bouquets as a hobby, I loved making my own bridal bouquet.

I also have 2 DC. No, I don't have enough time.

LARP = live action role play - NOT purvy at all! Depends on who and what, but can be anything from medieval reenactment to far future costume play (cosplay).
Table top gaming - basically any variation on story telling with dice (be careful assuming they mean Dungeons and Dragons - some serious snobbery/genre bashing goes on here!). My OH does this, but thinks LARPers are weird...
My hobbies are basically reading, walking, drinking wine and Papercraft.

Sort off except with a bullet journal you start with a blank notebook and just create your own planner/journal. I love mine, I find it so useful

Mine is photography. I'm not very good; I only took it up about two years ago and don't get the chance to do it very often, especially now the dc are on school holiday.

I'm a day trip ruiner - I take my camera on family trips and can often be heard saying things like, "Hang on, let me just take this photo. Dc, move a minute; your in my shot. Hold on a sec, I'll just take that again; it didn't work. Let me just wait until those people have moved because they're in the way..."

I joined a local camera club and try to go as often as I can but things like my dc's bedtimes and dh working late mean I sometimes don't get the chance to go.

I'm a member of some facebook groups and look at the activity on Flickr sometimes but rarely manage to post anything.

I run a fan site for a deceased yet legendary cult artist with the support of his family. It's got a lot bigger in the last few years with a film and retrospective coming out. It keeps me busy and despite him not being around any more there's often recordings and unseen photos materialising. I love it.

It's the cross-referencing of details. It wasn't this , but think "I started this morning still on a high after winning my tennis club's monthly tournament last night, and then I found cat shit on my fucking doorstep. Well, I say found. I stepped in it. In my best work shoes", from a fairly prolific poster whose area I already know.

As it happens, I know Greg [not real name] who lives in the same town, who happens to have been nattering about said tennis tournament on FB. So now, I just need to ask him the name of the woman who won, and I now know MNer-with-cat-shit-on-doorstep's real name.

If I was of a stalkery nature, I would know where to go to make sure I ran into her in RL one evening, and I could probably get her address easily enough. If I was a gossipy, malicious nature, I could then show her posts in, say, the Sex topic to Greg.

This is a lightly fictionalised account- I really did recognise someone like this, but I didn't take any further steps, because I'm not that kind of fucker. But I could have done, rather than thinking,"oh, you must be at Greg's tennis club!"

So this is why people say "my hobby".

Blackhearts that's what I like about bullet journals, you fill them in as you go as I'm always starting planners but they never seem to work for me. Mine certainly isn't looking as pretty as the one's on pinterest! But I'm telling myself that's okay it doesn't have to look perfect, as usually I want to give up when I make a mistake. Thankfully Dh thinks my journalling is quite cute, although I think he's doubtful I'll keep it up. I'm just so forgetful I need to write it down!

I have run almost every morning since I was 15 (am 35 now)

And at the weekends I go cycling either with DP or my mates.

If I'm at home I like to read.

So I guess they're my hobbies even though they're quite informal and don't involve joining anything official!

Enchantment I can spend hours looking on you tube and pinterest for bullet journal ideas beats me how they find the time to make them all so pretty. I'm not that artistic. I've gone through a lot of planners but never found the right one, I can make my own up but ha it's probably a 5 minute wonder with me.

I spent hours doing mine last night, dp said to me have I gone back to high school and it was a bit immature. But he's as bad as me for losing his shit and keeping track so I may have the last laugh!

I realised one day that I did nothing but work, watch TV and read. I'm intrinsically a very lazy person, so I resolved to improve my life and be less lazy.

I did an OU degree
I got a dog and joined a dog walking meetup group
I started guitar lessons
I joined a book group
I started adult tap dancing classes ( I loathe exercise - this was the most fun form I could find)

Most of the time, I think Oh I can't be arsed with guitar lesson/book group/tap dancing tonight, but them I force myself to go and I'm always really glad I did.
