Surname for new book

user1466262969 · 18/06/2016 16:20

Please help, I'm currently writing a book with two sisters in it. One is called Violet and the other Tilly. Please help me come up with a surname for them. Same surname for both girls please. I'd like something quite cool, at the minute I've come up with Lux. Thoughts on Lux and surname suggestions very welcome. Thanks so much in advance!

Lux is an anal lube? I need to get less vanilla.

How about Dalrymple?

What does your research for the time and area tell you, OP? Perhaps if you could give us list of realistic names we could help you choose one.

I like knight

Fort
Castle
Russell

But really depends on what they achieve, family background and type of book. I hate reading books and the names don't match the characters. I know a name has nothing to do with achievements etc Blush

I do like Lux. I don't think Lux soap is in common use here (especially amongst young people) so I wouldn't worry about that too much. Is it a magical book?

Thanks I've got a short list of names now. Apparently some people are presuming I am someone else who has been posting, and are now insulting me on said presumption. I think I'll go before anymore trolls come out to play 🙄😁

The direction in which a lot of threads are going recently is completely bizarre.

Simple rule...don't like thread - ignore.

Everything Dacre said. I knew it was constipated of imagination when the first 'Lux' suggestion slipped out. Lux is not a name. It's soap powder. Or anal lube. It just isn't a name.

Luyx.
It is a Belgian surname I think.
An Irish tv presenter's surname.

Sorry but none of the names you've chosen are even remotely 'cool'
It all sounds like poor quality, contrived and self published chic lit schtick.

This userblahblah hasn't posted anything else. It's hard to keep track of the stupid number names.

My vote goes to Gaston-ladybird. And Ingrate-Scribe. Grin

How many "pick ourselves a new surname" threads does the world NEED in one week FFS?

Didn't you post the other day to say that you have fallen out with dh's family and now want to change your surname? Think you also posted earlier asking what peoples favourite surnames are? Seriously, just choose a surname that YOU like and change it!!!!

And she didn't even NC? Fucking amateur class of lying bastards we get now.

When are we going to get a search facility on the app to help us avoid these idiots?
