The sea and the beach. It's a smell and a flashback to childhood feelings of joy.
Frosty mornings
Autumn - fallen leaves - that sort of damp soil smell from walking in woods.
Roses - the old fashioned proper rose smelling ones.
Freshly picked tomatoes.
Horses
Dogs
Anything with cinnamon in it.
All those tarry smells others have mentioned
Lemons and limes.

Another one for creosote here too!

Takes me back to hot childhood summers with baking Tarmac, warm earth and freshly-creosoted fences. Yummy!

My old dogs paws were like some kind of up market Doritos perfume.

I love the smell of the DC's heads; they're 10 and 5 and I still maintain that I could pick them out in a blindfold test. They just smell 'mine'.

I love the smell of limes and coriander. And the top of my dog's head. Except when she's rolled in questionable substances on walks, then she smells like arse.

Foxs's cigars (signature smell of my elegant uncle).
Still deciding about turf fires - it is definitely a real smell, but, sometimes is so sweet that I find it cloying.
sea air.
baby skin.
Chanel No. 5 - brings my mother back to life.
fresh linen - especially, when I'm lying in it, exhausted after a day of house cleaning.
aftershave on my father's cheek.
my youngest daughter's socks, she's a bit of a wild animal, which I love.
Cut hay but definitely not silage.
Chopped wood.
Wild flower meadows.
garlic roasting.
patchouli brings me back to my youth.

My cat smells like whatever you've been cooking! I always know when DP has made bacon sarnies without me because the cat's head smells of cooking bacon! Grin

Petrol, cold, damp stone (like basements), permanent markers. When I was anaemic I just wanted to eat the lot of them!

Coal fires, that 'hot' smell when you get off the plane in Spain or Italy, Greggs, jasmine, chlorine, Catholic chapel incense.

Yep, cheesy wotsits are what my cat's comedy sized paws smell of. I love the smell of germolene cream (the old stuff), Imperial Leather soap, bread and butter pudding cooking (and a roasting chicken), peanut butter and Jasmine.

My 2.5 year old's morning breath Blush
It's not horrendously smelly or anything, I just love it. Something very comforting about it.

Also love his slightly sweaty middle of the night smell.

I think I need to stop smelling my child...
