So:
He is currently watching Dinner Date.
He watches that rubbish dating one Saturday...had to ask him what it's called...Take Me Out, that's it.
Also Britain's Got Talent and The Voice. 
Occasionally silly films that he watches a quarter of, in between flicking between another silly film.
And nothing else. Nothing I would be interested in (not much anyway, but I'm sure I could find something more interesting).
Drives me bananas.
I suppose I should be grateful he doesn't watch Big Brother.
Tell me I am not alone.

What does wind me up is when he has the remote control in his hand all night he goes ballistic if he cannot put his hand on it immediately, tis usually under the cushion on his door.
Also when I put headphones to watch summat on lappy, the ads come on his programme so he deigns to talk to me, I do not hear immediately because of headphones so he then moans that he is Billy no mates and does not know why he bothers to sit with me in the evening.

The motorway one sounds quite appealing, actually. See, I'm not fussy. Ed, motorways, even war.
We did collectively watch a couple of episodes of Indian Summers thing on C4, but it was a bit late for me 
.
Dh doesn't really hog the TV; if I wanted to watch something he wouldn't mind, but I don't feel that passionately about anything on TV.
I just hate the mindless stuff he watches.
And the flicking.

We pretty much have the same taste in TV (I've trained him well 
). But the teenagers in the house are obsessed with Storage Wars, Come Dine With Me and Big Bang Theory and can need quite a lot of persuasion to relinquish the remote.
I really hate Storage Wars, it's based around vultures carving up the belongings of people who've not been able to pay to reclaim their stuff.

That motorway series was pretty interesting 
We have similar tastes and are very tolerant of each other's viewing in general. Having a TV in the playroom and a radio in the garage also helps...
The one tiny thing that bugs me is his mild obsession with the rewind button on Sky Plus. He can make one episode of TBBT last around 45 minutes with the stop/rewind/play thing at times if he doesn't hear jokes properly.
It's getting better though. It used to be an hour until I threatened to take his toy away

I sometimes like Big Brother but usually get bored as it goes on and the interesting characters are voted off.
The last one I watched all the way through was the CBB that Jim Davidson won. It was fascinating to see someone I strongly suspect is very unpleasant manage to portray himself as likeable and reasonable while easily manipulating the others.
It inspired a lot of threads on MN where some fellow Telly Addicts and I were defending it against people who clearly hadn't watched it but didn't like Jim Davidson. We didn't like him either. It was just interesting to watch. Chilling, even.
I also quite like I'm A Celebrity but again, the last one I watched properly was the one that Charlie Brooks won, which was 2012.
DH and I agree that Ashley Roberts from the Pussycat Dolls was robbed .

I'm reading through this thread with a and 
face - why the hell don't people share the TV ?
No way would I live with someone who hogged the tv all night and kicked up at watching programmes to be enjoyed by both (if both want to watch TV) that or get another TV ?
