I hide anyone that annoys me and block all of the games. I don't update my own status but I make the odd comment on other's.

I deleted my account during the ice bucket challenge but have recently resurrected it, damn it.

I've yet to hear of anything on FB that you can't do on email and a free Dropbox account. But I do have a FB dummy account that I use to check up on people who are foolish enough to broadcast TMI across the web.

If the OP is actually the person alluded to by subsequent posters, I'd advise her to delete her web browser altogether, and find some support in the real world.

I've deleted app on phone and iPad so now only check in to FB once s day instead of obsessing every time it pings. Though I may now have to delete MN app too as I've come back here instead.

I'm a Facebook addict.

I've deleted the app and am on day 2 cold turkey.

I find it can be a lifeline when I sit here night after night, alone. Talking crap or having japes or occasional rants and discussions, as I would if I had somebody in the room with me.

However, it is all too easy to get sucked in and piss about on there whilst real life stacks up, unattended, all around me.

So, as with everything, used as the occasional treat and not taken too seriously = fine. I wasn't using it like that and feel it has become detrimental to my daily routine.

I can't delete completely as I have people on there who I only know online (from here and another forum) and I don't want to lose touch with such a lovely bunch of atrocious cunts

There are add ons etc, it's a bit more complicated on Internet explorer, but if I try to go on it just doesn't let me, it's like the child settings, blocking them from going on certain sites.
