I found this as I'm just reading her book Life in Pieces. Three pages in and she's on about being high and about weed more than once. She strikes me as trying to be cool but actually immature instead.

YANBU. She looks like she is wearing a cheap nylon wig.

Too try hard and the name is pretentious. She looks like my mum from the 70's wearing a dress fashioned from the curtains we used to have. Quite liked her when she was doing the sex programmes - now part of some sort of hippyish power couple.

'But when they have a young woman as part of their programme who she calls the "coolest girl in the room because her boyfriend is in the band" I can feel Andrea Dworkin rolling in her grave.'

YES.

I did a lot of eye rolling when she kept wittering on about the girl being cool due to going out with some drummer.

She probably has pictures of Anita Pallenberg up around her house.

What is it with that? I find it hard too. This line sums it up though, "
"Start with that username though. @HotPatooties. It’s infantilized. Knowing. Affected. Precious. Precocious. Like a burlesque routine performed to Shirley Temple songs, and only less slightly vomit-inducing. @HotPatooties is not a name I would adopt as a professional adult, it’s a name I would adopt if I was selling bespoke nipple tassels on Etsy. Then I would plunge a tant? into my abdomen."

Partridge every time I try to read that my internet freezes.

Every single time. I think my computer objects to her more than I do Grin I've had to give up but what I did read was funny.

I couldn't care less about someone's hair, or their choice of name. But when they have a young woman as part of their programme who she calls the "coolest girl in the room because her boyfriend is in the band" I can feel Andrea Dworkin rolling in her grave. I am old enough to remember 70s feminism, and stuff like this makes me feel that the generation below me have gone back about five decades, and that isn't just the frocks Dawn.

Why is her hair getting so big she looks like Dora the explora

At the start she had a lovely retro bob but now she looks mad

I like her a lot. I also like that she merged her maiden and married names and found her solution.

I don't really understand what she's doing that deserves such criticism. If it's not your cup of tea turn it off.

So she merged names, has hair that is 'different' from the norm and thinks she's a bit kooky. What is wrong with that??

She's working hard and good on her for it.

I love her, her hair, her clothes and I love her new programme.

If the show were hosted by Claudia Winkleman, I'd hate everything.

Yes, it made me really Grrrrr. So for girls to be thought cool they have to have a boyfriend with a "cool" job? Is that really at all aspirational? I have two daughters, i found all that really depressing. And agree that beige polyester frock covered in sparkle was a waste of good rhinestones, but the girl did have the perfect shape for the dress and even though it was both beige, and highly flammable, she made it look ok.

She did the programme about her tits because her mum died of breast cancer when she was a kid.

She was very irritating last night, to be fair. But strangely watchable. Like how you sometimes go onto certain people's FB pages just to gawp at what awful stuff they've done this time in a sort of mesmerised horror...

Mind you, I found the bland tea dress irritating, so maybe I am just easily irritated. I thought they were going to do something interesting with it, instead of just sticking some sequins on it. It still looked awful, even though it was worn by possibly the one person in the world it didn't look quite as awful on.

The boyfriend in the band, repeated thing, wasn't very um aspirational. No idea what the woman herself did for a job but her boyfriend was in a band!

I had to turn it off when she said that the girl she was styling wwas the coolest girl in the room because....Her BOYFRIEND is in the band. It is like the 70s all over again. How tragic is that? So all the teenage girls watching think the epitome of cool is dating some oik with a guitar?
