To tell friends their baby name is a well known kids TV character?

Friends are having their first DC soon. We were talking about names and one that they had settled on is the name of a character from a very well known kids TV show. Think Peppa Pig, Thomas the Tank Engine, Fireman Sam.

First name and surname the same, BTW.

Obviously they don't have DC so they don't watch kids TV yet. I wanted to tell them but DH said it would be really rude. Maybe in a few years this show won't be watched as much, but it's pretty popular so idk.

I know a Michael knight. He's too old for the kids programme and too young for knight rider so the other kids don't bat an eyelid but all the adults have a little smile to themselves. Bless him.

Some friends of ours, surname West, called their son Nathan. He was a couple of years old when someone first called him NatWest, it has driven them mad ever since so your friends might appreciate the heads up

Freddie fox is a well known young actor (I think he's emilia fox's brother and Edward fox's son). I think it's rather a cool name. And a lot better than being called Pedro Pony.

I was hoping you knew someone who had called their child Sir Topham Hat - disappointed that it's not even someone I've heard of!

I would tell them though - it's worth at least considering that in the decision making process. We considered a lot of things, like initials, nicknames, common associations etc, but still managed to not notice that our son's full name said aloud makes a sort of sentence! I'm hoping that nobody will notice, as he won't use his middle name, but if someone had mentioned it beforehand, I'd rather have known, even if I decided I liked the name enough to go ahead anyway.
