Result of a night smoking pot and eating special mushrooms perhaps, but some of the best artwork was done under the influence of opium/laudanum back in the day.

In generations to come they will look back on ITNG and hail it as an all time classic of the children's TV genre.

Not on a par with the glory days of Pat's Fun House and Mallet's Wackaday work of course. But nonetheless a work of genius.

Series? It's just one episode! Or is that really just me? Admittedly I deliberately paid more attention today and noticed more snogging between daisy and piggle than I had noticed before... Bt could that be because I delibereately untranced myself?

I could watch ITNG all day. DS loves the bedtime stories book as well. I heard the series is ending soon. I will be gutted if it does.

I love it too... My ds looks just like a tombliboo so they are my favourites... Especially when they take their trousers off in the ninky nonk!

I dislike upsy daisy though... I think it's her skirt, it just screams ladybird from woolworths circa 1996.

I often sit and watch even if ds has wondered off to play elsewhere.

It is a work of genius in that it mesmerises toddlers and is very well done in that respect. DS used to love it. But it used to drive me up the wall.
I'm glad DS has now moved onto Abney and Teal, which seems to be the least annoying CBeebies programme.

YANBU I really regret that my DC are outgrowing ITNG, I no longer have a real excuse to watch it.
I might keep the DVDs though - they can watch it in their teens when drinking and experimenting with hallucinogenics.

the theme tune is great but the little bit in the middle with the petals falling is the best

Never mind ITNG, my children were young when the Fimbles were on. That tinkling tree scared the life out of me!

DS1 loved it but now complains that it's a baby programme. I remember him totally losing it hysterically when they flew to the top of the tree to see the Olly Polly pig pig flower or what ever it was! He also used to cry whenever iggle piggle fell down.
I get annoyed with the size perception changing all the time. One minute the Ninky Nonk is whiz zing round Iggle Piggle's ankles and the next he is climbing into it

I love it, ds3 actually sits still for 20 mins then asks for bed. Ive recorded it and nowput it on at 5.30.

Even the 7 month old likes to watch it (yeah yeah i know and i dont care ) my 10 year old isnt impressed though, says it makes him want to remove his eye balls

Dd is more a fan of the associated literature and merchandise, than the progamme itself. Great.

She does like the dance at the end, though, and tries to imitate it given any musical accompaniment. Me, I think the programme is about 28 mins too long.

Ah yes cheers Well I never, a lot more than meets the eye to it isn't there ! Glad I'm not the only one reading too much into these. There are some amazing kids shows out, struggling with the rationale behind teletubbies though

Am I right in thinking that iggle piggle is the consciousness of the little boy at the beginning who falls asleep? And then he sails off to the dream land and has all these nice but surreal baby dream adventures.
Always took it as a given, but dp was a bit when we talked about it. (I might've watched to much)....
I'm pretty sure bottle top bill & his best friend corky is the work of someone on pyscadellics.
