I am waiting for my new dyson to arrive. I have been waiting in all day. Citi-link ( who Dyson currently use) only dive a time of 07.00-17.30.
Dyson Customer service is utterly SHITE. I told them this too. I wrote it on facebook aswell. Although not those exact words.
We had a dyson for years. The it died. Dyson had a GREAT deal. So we bought from them direct.
After 3 months, my DC40 stopped working. I phoned. I went throught he checks. He asked me to do more. I phoned back. And again. In the end, I had to demand, that an enginner was sent. £72 it could cost, the man said. Fine, I said. Send him, I don't care. But he couldn't come for 1.5 weeks. So I have now been without a dyson for nearly 3 weeks.
He comes. Yes, all the checks I did were correct. It is gettign hot. Its not sucking. No obstruction. He knows not why. he phones his manager. Agrees to a new one being sent.
2 days later. I phone. Nothing has been authorised. But he spoke to his manager. It was authorised, I say. They will look into it. If I hadn't of chased then, then I would be no furhter forward, becasue they had not actioned anyhting.
I phone again. 8 more phonecalls.
Your DC33 will be with you tomorrow. Why a DC33 I said. I have a DC40. Apparently they noted down that I had agreed to this. Agreed to a different model. Then they admitted that this conversation had never been had. They hadn't phoned me, so obviously I hadn't agreed to anyhting!!
Finally, they FINALLY admit, after another few phonecalls, that they don't have any DC40's. But they had failed to tell me this, in the inumerable phonecalls thta we had had before. And none are available for another 5 weeks.
So they finally agree to send me a limted edition DC40i. It is red, whereas my old one was a DC40 purple. And I don't like red. But in the circumsances i feel I have no choice.
But they don't. They sent a DC41. Instead. The wrong model. Its heavier than a DC40. And I am only tiny.
So I phone them back. And the woman insists on giving me a refund.
I don't want a refund. I want a like-for-like replacement, after my DC40 broke after less than 3 months. Yeah , i bet she does. The reason is, that they now want to get rid of me. Becasue they have no DC40's and the price my dh paid, when they had the special offer, is only 2/3 of the current price of £400.
Plus none of the places thta she recommneded - John Lewis, Curry's , Argos, even have one.
PLUS, I bought form Dyson direct. So I expected better customer services.
I will wait I say, for the DC40's that are availabel at the end of May. And in the meantime you can send me any model you like, for me to use whilst I am waiting. Please note I have already been without a dyson, so no 'hoovering' has been done for nearly 5 weeks, and you are asking me to wait another month?
No she said. We don't do that. We don't do 'loans'.
IT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE.
They are shockingly awful.
I am still waiting for my delivery.
I will let you know if they actually deliver my DC40i.
By the way, incase it wasn't clear, I AM NOT HAPPY
