I don't want to impose on Parents space, but a lot of my friends have said...."someone has just said on mumsnet something you said the other day" and "you need tto join mumsnet", "you'll love people who are mumsnet"

I wanted to join. I really like it andd I'm level headed.

Am I encrouching on you?

I don't have children either. I just like to laugh and point at the Angry Birds on here. Try the baby names bit. Wacky, Zany and freaky......are 3 of the suggestions for a girl.

I have been on this site since 2007. I have no kids, nor any intention of having them and just don't read all the boring bits about sleep and babygroes, MN is so much more than that. I find it's one of the only places on the internet you can enjoy an intelligent debate without silly textspeak and the range of issues on here is huge.

Does an "acetic monk" drink vinegar, or something? :o

Pan Is MN addict, he has been here for years, he cannot help himself, he has an addiction. [sigh] I had it too but I left for years and years and years and came back and most some poster are still here.

No, Kestrel, you are not welcome. Run, and do it now. Take a large hammer, smash anything you own that accesses MN into teeny pieces, join a religious order and live the rest of your life as an acetic monk, wondering the cold, unregarded north-facing slopes of the Andes, talking only to items of vegetation.

Welcome! I don't give a toss what turns you on in bed, which is basically the difference between gay and straight.

I don't have children either, but I don't think that makes me any different from Mums and Dads when it comes to having an opinion or a laugh.

Welcome to Mumsnet x

yeah, dont know why they call it MUMSnet, Im okay with you, OP, although TBH it does get a tad uncomfortable personally if Im on a thread and its getting a bit more than toilet humour (not that Im crude in any way) but sometimes theres intimate female body parts type threads or slightly 'who would you....'and suddenly someone reveales themselves as a man! after about 200 posts! And this is why everyone needs to learn about using commas Grin

Hi and welcome Kestrel.

I'm ancient, single and have no children (no ivf in my young days). I lurked a lot before plucking up the courage to post.

Jewcy lets see your photo wearing gold lamé hotpants Smile

I think you are being unreasonable to have not posted a photo of yourself in gold lamé hotpants.

Welcome Flowers

FWIW I am far too old to be on here (should be on Gransnet really) but I find it interesting to see what the youngsters of 40 or 50 are thinking.....Grin
