AIBU?

.....to be angry that my body is doing this at 37?

Okay....37 is getting on a bit but it's not like properly old. I can accept the following:

  1. A few grey hairs
  2. Some wrinkles
  3. Harder to lose weight.

However, I am mightly fucked off at the following and ask you mumsnetters out there if this is normal?

  1. My PMT is getting worse. I'm really angry and irritated by everyone/everything for at least 5 days per month.

2.Seriously, I am sweatier and my sweat smells much worse than it used to. I really stink after hard exercise (and I'm sure I used to be able to go running and then to the pub afterwards without going home first)

  1. Hairs - where have they come from? They are everywhere. Chin and pubes are the worst. It's grim and I can't keep on top of them.

Is this the downward slide to stinking of piss and having a beard? FFS, I'm only 37.

and then there are the yummy yucky sleb mums with their personal trainers and chefs etc etc who still get away with it. seeth seeth, gnashing of gums.

and the other thing is that my cousin, 20 years younger than me (27) is already with dentures, piles, chin hairs etc etc.

I'm 31, and am nodding vigorously to quite a few of these.

Since turning 31 last June, I have : started sweating (yes, Mitchum is brilliant).

Got my first grey hair followed in quick succession by another 20...

Had to pluck random chin hairs that were never there before.

Since my periods returned after DS3, I seem to turn into a raving dictator for a week of every month.

And the spots - WTF?! I avoided them as a teenager only to be coated in them in my 30's?! WTF is that all about?!

The extra hairiness - my pubes seem to have grown down to my knees and up to my belly button. If anyone's looking for Lord Lucan, he's probably hiding in the bush somewhere...

The creakiness. Just two months after my 31st birthday, arthritis set in.

And I'm staring to get crows feet too. Only slightly, nobody else has noticed them, but I have...

The periods that are like Niagara effing Falls. I think I've spent more on Sanitary protection in the last year than I have in the preceding 15 years - and I've always been quite heavy!

The sudden lack of a discernible 'middle'.

And my Norks could now double up as leg warmers or a scarf.

I know I'm in the 'wrong' decade now, but seriously?!

Guess what I have to have done to fix it?
A botox injection up my arse! Wonder if they might fix my crow's feet at the same time (with a different needle lol)

I have to laugh otherwise I would cry!
I am also starting to get grey hair :(

I'm 32 been going grey since having DS at 28. Skin is shit...dull looking, pigmentation, spots, crows feet and forehead lines. PMT is savage since coming off pill 18 months ago, I am a narky bitch at that time. History of early menopause in our family so got that to look forward to shortly as well. I look at Jennifer Aniston and sigh....if only.

PS. for dry skin i recommend a good skincare regime, it can be expensive or cheap but moisturiser is your friend :)

I don't have an issue with facial hair but if i did i'd definitely try badbride's suggestion of laser hair removal.

I'm 36 & my PMT, night sweats & hot flushes were awful.
But i got seriously ill with MH problems, now take Anti-Psychotic meds and the side effect is that PMT & sweats have massively improved!

My knees & back were bad so i visited a Physiotherapist, go to the gym & diet now - it makes a huge difference.

I get silver hairs on my head now but i just colour it & get lots of compliments for my hair colour :)

All of the above (bar the gynae stuff) is why the good Lord invented beauty therapists. A good one is worth her weight in gold, especially if she has a Soprano Laser to hand www.almalasers.com/soprano_xl.jsp

It costs a bomb, but laser hair removal is utterly brilliant (proper lasers that is, don't waste your time with IPL). Especially if you have peely wally white skin and dark hair like me Sad

Am nearly 58. Post menopausal. All the hairy stuff, except pubes now starting to vanish!!

I suffered really badly with the sweating, but it does seem to have got somewhat better in the last year or so.

When I look in the mirror I do wonder who the old person is looking back at me.

In my head I feel about 25!

45

PMT - I know my period is due because I feel absolutely miserable.
Hideous pube like hair twirling out of my face.
Stomach like half risen bread despite yoga
Beige-ness. Red hair going beige and face going beige
Sore tingling norks for no apparent reason
Getting harder to lose weight
Sudden rage when DP makes idle comments about women

Nearly 42. My main dilemma is I'm finding grey hairs. I have decided not to dye but to embrace them. I feel sure my grey hair will help me become the over-opinionated old bag I want to be. And yes, those sneaky chin hairs that are a foot long by the time you find them!!! I have told my DC to please pluck my chin hairs when they stick me away in some home...not much to ask?
