Easter and Facebook

AIBU to feel irritated by the competitive Facebooking re Easter. My newsfeed is filled with photos of Friend's DC's surrounded by scores of choc eggs, sweets, toys, bikes with captions like 'look who got spoiled by the Easter bunny' etc etc.

When I was younger I used to get a couple of choc eggs and that was my lot

People who waste £100s on Easter even though it isn't a proper occasion are helping the economy - think about that next time you moan about George Osborne or triple dip recessions Wink

Vodka, I think it's pretty ironic too ;) People love a whinge.

Just to clarify, this issue doesn't highly annoy me, especially not enough to delete FB!

Just a minor gripe and I wanted to see if anyone else had noticed it too...

That's what I do usual, if someone irritates me too much on FB, I delete them, not my FB account!

When I was a child and I'm also an old gimmer, we got quite a lot of eggs and my more well off friends did get easter presents.

So I don't think it's changed that much.

Well, you know I only add people to my FB account that I like.

So they don't tend to irritate me.

I've been lucky and haven't seen anyone posting pics up like that. I seen a couple of pics of kids doing their Easter egg hunt but there wasn't any eggs or anything in the pics, just clues and maps and kids with their faces painted like little bunnies.

YABU to let other people's lives affect you. YABU to let their Facebook posts affect you.
