Apparently my husband had what he thought was a really good idea for a Christmas present for me. However, doing some googling for reviews, apparently, he found that "mumsnet totally hates it and slags it off, so it's back to the drawing board".

He won't tell me what it is, though. So what is it that you hate?

Or that ugly egg separator that makes the white look like snot coming out of the nostrils of the jug.

Some sort of present for the house and not really for you, like a vacuum cleaner of potato peeler with a sharp knife handle.

Hmm prawn ring, it was beautiful! Thanks.

If anyone spies a bargain for one in a charity shop tomorrow, yup it's still fresh Xmas Grin

holla it was a double bluff - he never let mumsnet really deter him but wanted to get me guessing.
It's silly but the hinting and guenssing and bluffing etc is what makes it fun

Wait, are the Hunters (nice) what he actually got you? What was he going to get before he found out that Mumsnet hates it?

You do realise, WidowWadman, that you're going to have to come back here on Christmas Day to tell us what it might have been ... and what DH bought you instead of the 'MN hated gift'? Grin

Was it some sort of kitchen appliance? Or a steam mop?!

Apparently it's a physical item not a voucher or such thing. So no spa day or center parks.

The first time he saw the Asda Christmas advert he shouted at the TV, so I doubt it's that. It might be a hamper. Don't let it be a hamper.

I love waterfall cardigans! They cover up a multitude of sins. Everyone on Mumsnet hates the Asda Christmas advert!

Right now I hate my boss but I doubt your husband is likely to be buying you a gay man with an obsession about everything being in a straight line Angry

I hate people who say 'Sainsbos and MaccyDs'. I saw the perfect gift for the female misanthrope in Sainsbos today, it was a wine glass and mini wine bottle with 'Girl's Night In' on it.

Not very helpful for you OP.
