to ask what Muslim ladies on here where when swimming

already posted this in religion but doesn't appear to be much foot traffic there so trying again here, and the more suggestions/replies/options the better :)

Not Muslim myself but I like to try to respect DH in how I dress (who is), normally I wear a swimming costume which has built in short shorts which stop mid thigh (rather than showing my bottom) and frankly I don't often go swimming anyway (have not been in about 2 years) but I'm planning on going on holiday, and will be about 5 months pregnant and won't fit into my normal costume, the only maternity costumes I could find are all bog standard, so don't cover legs at all. May I ask what you wear when swimming to see if I could get something similar for myself?

when in Maldives, I wore a t-shirt over a one piece, simply because it was so hot, I kept getting burnt on the bum when snorkelling

i dont go swimming in mixed areas but if we go with women we wear leggings over the swimming costume so it covers atleast til the knees, then sometimes people wear a baggy tshirt over it aswel to make it less fitted looking
or you can get the whole 'burkini' type thing which covers your whole self, which some people do wear and go swimming but as you are not muslim may be a bit ott for you? what about just wear some leggings or cropped leggings over it to cover a bit of your legs, as you were doing before

It depends on how much you want to cover up, if you google 'swim wear for Muslim ladies' lots of sites will come up. The problem may be your pregnant shape, so you may be best going for t shirt and leggings combination.

I am not Muslim but I do have skin so pale it is almost see-through, so I got the Axtec from here www.ahiida.com/ (sorry can't do links on phone).

They deliver internationally.

I too, just don't fancy having my legs out, so I wear board shorts like these just google 'women's board shorts' if you got a big size they'd probably fit under belly. Maybe worth going into a two season surf/ski type shop and trying some on?

morloth nice but very expensive!

laweasel I quite like your idea of the board shorts, and I think I could probably just borrow some of DH's :)
