...but is this not why we have a fashion chat bit? Sometimes it is hard to choose something yourself - I don't have a clue with what to wear to a friends wedding and am grateful for any input, particularly as I am not a girly girl and really don't want to look out of place.

As for your 'just go shopping' comment Biscuit - I have neither the time nor health to be able to traipse arounmd the shops endlessly, looking in vain for an outfit while snobby shop assistants snigger about me to their colleagues!

If you don't like what is on the threads then why go on them! Hmm

(((((scuttles off to delete thread started last night)))))

On s separate note.... Morning spent shopping yesterday for a wedding social occasion... How fucking sick am I of strapless/one shoulder dresses. Every shop was literally swimming with them. Nowt else to offer. I do not want to sit at a table eating dinner practically nekid!!!

Oh and to the fat lass in River Island who, in the middle of the shop, put skirt over the top of her jeans, the pulled jeans down to her cankles, then took her top off and tried to pour herself into some hankercief sized piece of material.....I had to come home and bleach my eye thank you very much.

Guilty as charged(((hangs head in shame))))

In defence, there are normally dresses suggested that won't be found on high street/in shops that I wouldn't normally consider.

Although I did think last night it would be good to have one thread where everyone posts any nice dresses they have found, then instead of starting another thread, you can just go on and click through the links.

It's the same at Christmas for party dresses.

Agree for spindly heels you need to be spindlier! I hate anything with 2 layers as well Lots of dresses and tops with floaty top and vesty thing under granny tastic. You can wear smart normal stylish clothes and just really 'do' your hair and make up
