Good afternoon everyone. My child has had a few spots coming in today, the first one appeared on Friday. No itch no fever nothing just these spots. I’ve spoken with a pharmacist who said its either an allergy or might be the start of a chickenpox. We have an emergency appointment with out gp who will asses my child. My son has eczema on and off and I remember he had an allergic reaction to a body lotion who had an active ingredient I believe it was oats or wheat. He farts a lot at times but not sure could it be chickenpox.

Do they have water blisters at the top? We’ve had both chicken pox and allergy rashes and the allergy one was more clusters of hive like spots rather than water blisters. Chicken
pox seemed to be bigger and more spread out for us.

Thank you for your reply. He has only a few from this morning. I’m thinking if its an allergy because yesterday he had a lot of shrimp so could be a shelfish allergy or something else. Because the spots dont itch him at all even the one first one he had isnt itching him at all

My experience of chicken pox is that they progress quickly. If they started appearing on Friday I’d have expected it to be very obvious by now. That being said, it could be a mild case…
