I run a kids club and I hoping to run an end of term party in a few weeks time. We don't usually serve food but have been thinking of having a few party snacks alongside games. I want to include everyone but have no experience of catering for allergies We have several severe wheat/gluten intolerances, one dairy allergy and one nut allergy and one on a low salicylate diet.- can you suggest some snacks that would be suitable for all as I don't want to exclude anyone. I will of course check with the parents but want some ideas first. TIA

No idea about the low salicylate diet, but for the rest I'd go for Haribo, marshmallows and chipsticks.

Thanks - I just wanted a few snacks not a full party tea - I think I'll ask parents to suggest some things and then double check. I just want all the kids to have a stress-free fun time.
Thanks for your thoughts :)

I would go against having any buffet style, dips etc unless you are able to guarantee that ALL food is safe, to much risk of cross contamination etc .

crisps - but you will have to check labels and double check with parents that the brand you have chosen is safe for their children to have

fruit factory sweets from poundshop - stars, strings, gummies, hearts etc

do u want cooked snacks or just sweets and crisps and stuff?

party bags/boxes would be easier to manage if ur not able to guarantee all food is safe for every child.

I think it all depends on whether the children need supervision stop them eating things they shouldn't. if there are parents/they are old enough then I'd go for a variety with lots of labelling. Things with dips often work well, even for children, as it's very tactile and children don't feel excluded as they all eating carrot/celery/sticks with a dip...
